[Pilot] Updates to the Pro Shopper Program - Merchant Opt Out

We're launching a pilot in select areas with updates to the Pro Shopper program*, including more options for the types of offers you receive and updated requirements to maintain Pro status.

As part of this pilot, Pro Shoppers will be able to pause offers from nearby merchants and will have a new Shopping Acceptance Rate requirement.

Note: This pilot is only available in select markets as of 6/8/26.

What's changing

Merchant Pause

Once the pilot begins, Pro Shoppers will be able to pause offers from up to 3 stores at a time for up to 2 weeks each, and manage this anytime in their Ratings tab.

How it works:

1. When you receive an offer from a merchant you'd like to pause, start by declining it.

2. After declining, if the option is available, you will see a toggle to pause offers from that store — turn it on to activate the pause.

3. It may take up to 5 minutes for the pause to take effect. Once active, you won't receive offers from that merchant for 2 weeks. You'll get a notification when the pause period ends.

You can view and manage paused stores in your Ratings tab, where you'll see the merchant's name and address. You can turn a pause off early, but you won't be able to pause that store again until the initial 2-week period ends.

Shopping Acceptance Rate Requirement

As part of this pilot, Pro eligibility will include a new Shopping Acceptance Rate, alongside your existing shopping metrics. This rate:

  • Is based on your most recent 40 Shop & Deliver offers and updates on a rolling basis

  • Needs to stay at or above 50% to maintain Pro status.

You'll be able to track your progress in the app once the pilot begins.

FAQs:

Q: Is this a permanent change to the Pro Shopper program?

A: No — this is a pilot we're testing in select geographies to improve the Pro Shopper experience. We'll use what we learn to continue improving the program over time.

Q: When does this change go into effect?

A: This pilot will begin rolling out in June 2026. We'll notify you when it officially goes live in your area.

Q: How many merchants can I pause at once?

A: You can pause offers from up to 3 stores at a time, for up to 2 weeks each. You can manage your paused stores anytime in your Ratings tab.

Q: Can I unpause a merchant early?

A: Yes — you can turn a pause off early in your Ratings tab. However, you won't be able to pause that store again until the initial 2-week period ends.

Q: What if I'm already part of another DoorDash reward tier like Gold or Platinum?

A: The merchant pause feature stacks with your existing tier rewards. If you're already Gold or Platinum, you already have access to merchant pause — Pro Shopper status gives you even more stores:

  • Gold + Pro: up to 4 stores

  • Platinum + Pro: up to 6 stores

Q: What happens if my Shopping Acceptance Rate falls below 50%?

A: If your Shopping Acceptance Rate is below 50%, you will lose Pro Shopper status. But don't worry — your status is based on your most recent 40 Shop & Deliver offers on a rolling basis. Keep shopping to reach 50% and earn it back.

Q: Do batched offers count toward my Shopping Acceptance Rate?

A: Yes. Any offer that includes a Shop & Deliver order will count toward your Shopping Acceptance Rate. For example, if you receive a batched offer with:

  • one restaurant order, and

  • one Shop & Deliver order

That offer will still count toward your Shopping Acceptance Rate.
