Q: What is the Pro Shopper program?
A: Pro Shopper is an extension of the Dasher Rewards program. It’s designed to recognize Dashers who consistently go the extra mile on Shop & Deliver orders. Pro Shoppers make more money with access to exclusive rewards, such as priority access to high-paying shopping offers.

Q: How does the Pro Shopper program work?
A: After completing 20 Shop & Deliver orders, you can automatically qualify for Pro Shopper status and unlock additional rewards. To achieve and maintain Pro Shopper status, you'll need to meet specific Shopper Ratings requirements based on your last 40 orders.
You can view the requirements and track your progress in the Shopping Ratings section of your Dasher app.

Q: How is Pro Shopper status determined?
A: Pro Shopper status is based on your Shopping Ratings, calculated from your most recent 40 Shop & Deliver orders. You must meet or exceed the required thresholds in all rating categories to qualify. These include how often you find original items, your overall total items found, the frequency of substitution issues, any quality concerns with items delivered, and whether there were wrong or missing items. You can view the specific Pro Shopper thresholds for each ratings category in the Shopping Ratings section of your Dasher app.

To promote fairness, we exclude certain item issues from your ratings. For example, your item issues do not include items if:

  • Other shoppers reported having trouble finding the item

  • The customer didn’t receive an item because they requested a refund due to it being out of stock

  • DoorDash suspects customer fraud

  • The customer pre-approved a substitution that they later weren’t happy with

Q: What are Pro Shopper ratings thresholds based on?
A: Thresholds for Pro Shopper eligibility are based on how other highly-rated Dashers consistently complete orders. That means the program is based on realistic, proven metrics — not perfection.

  • Pro tip: Because ratings are based on your last 40 offers, completing more Shop & Deliver orders can help remove older, lower scores from your ratings calculation faster — giving you a chance to rebound and qualify again.

Q: How do I know if I'm eligible for the Pro Shopper program?
A: If Pro Shopper is available in your area and you meet the qualifications, you’ll see your status and progress in the Ratings tab of the Dasher app under Shopping.

Q: What types of rewards are offered through the Pro Shopper program?
A: All Dashers who reach Pro Shopper status get priority access to high-paying shopping offers. Additional rewards may be available by market and change over time, but can include other exclusive perks. Check your email and the Ratings tab in your Dasher app to view the specific rewards available to Pro Shoppers in your area.

Q: I just started completing Shop & Deliver orders on DoorDash. How does this program work for me?
A: For Dashers who just started shopping on DoorDash and have completed less than 20 Shop & Deliver orders, we understand that it takes time to learn how to shop on the platform and to build up your ratings. After you’ve completed your first 20 deliveries, you’ll be eligible to qualify for the Pro Shopper program. You can track your progress in the Ratings tab of the Dasher app under Shopping.

Q: What happens if I no longer meet the Pro Shopper Ratings requirements?
A: You may lose Pro Shopper status if any of your Shopper Ratings fall below the required thresholds. However, because your status is based on your last 40 Shop & Deliver orders, you can regain it by consistently meeting the requirements moving forward.
The more you shop, the faster prior ratings are removed from your ratings calculation — giving you a fresh opportunity to regain Pro Shopper status.

Q: How is this program different from Dasher Rewards?
A: Pro Shopper is an extension of the broader Dasher Rewards program. While Dasher Rewards is available to all Dashers and recognizes Dashers who go the extra mile on any delivery type, Pro Shopper is specifically designed for Dashers who complete Shop & Deliver orders.

Pro Shopper eligibility is based on Shopping Ratings (e.g. total items found, substitution issues) whereas eligibility for the broader Dasher Rewards program is based on more general Ratings such as acceptance rate or completion rate.

You can participate in both programs at the same time if you qualify for each.

Q: What are “high-paying shopping offers”?
A: High-paying shopping offers are some of the highest paying deliveries in the area, which can vary by area, over time, and by delivery distance. We calculate high-paying shopping offers based on total pay, which includes base pay, peak pay, and tips.

Look out for the Pro Shopper icon in the Dasher app when you receive an offer, which means that you were prioritized for this high-paying shopping offer.

Q: Can I still decline offers?
A: Shoppers can always accept or decline offers based on their personal preferences.

Q: What are some tips for achieving and maintaining Pro Shopper status?

Plus, here are some tips from experienced shoppers to help you reach and maintain Pro Shopper status:

  • Ask staff: If you can’t find an item, check with the store’s staff to confirm whether or not it’s in stock.

  • Check other areas: Some items might be placed in less common areas like end caps, promotional stands, checkout counters, or near the pharmacy. Remember, customers are looking to you to be the expert at this.

  • Find the best, closest substitute: When an item is out of stock, try to look for items that are similar in: (1) flavor, (2) size, (3) brand, or (4) price. The more similarities it has to the original item, the better!

  • Send photos: Customers appreciate when you provide a few different substitution options. Try sending photos of options to speed up the process. Try giving them a call as well to discuss their options.

  • Note substitutions: To avoid having your Dasher Red Card declined, be sure to mark substitutions (like if an item is out of stock) in the app.


Q: Are there any other terms or conditions that I should know about?
A: We may modify or end this program at any time for any reason, and eligibility is not guaranteed. We reserve the right to delay payment for purposes of investigation and to withhold payment or close the account(s) of any Dasher if we determine in our sole discretion that a Dasher has used or attempted to use this program in a fraudulent, abusive, or otherwise suspicious manner or violation of any applicable law or regulation.
