Dashers in Louisiana who could not work as a result of Hurricane Ida may be eligible to receive Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA). Details about the program, eligibility for assistance, and how to apply are below.

About DUA

DUA is a state-administered program that provides financial assistance to individuals whose work was lost or interrupted as a result of a major disaster. In Louisiana, 25 parishes have been designated as major disaster areas due to the hurricane. The amount of assistance an individual can receive is based on past earnings subject to state minimum and maximum benefit levels.

  • Have been unable to work as a direct result of the disaster.
