Promotions and Incentives Overview : 

Promotions and Incentives are additional pay for offers that meet certain conditions, giving Dashers an opportunity to earn even more. They can vary between Dashers based on factors like how new they are to the platform, and also based on other factors like location and time of day. This page details the different types of Incentives available to Dashers.

Peak Pay

DoorDash may offer Dashers the ability to earn more while on a dash for completing deliveries that a Dasher accepts during the dates, times, and in areas where Peak Pay is in effect.

In Earn per Offer mode, Dashers earn an additional amount per eligible, completed delivery that is accepted while Peak Pay is in effect.

In Earn by Time mode, Peak Pay adds an amount to the guaranteed active hourly rate. When Peak Pay has been temporarily added, you will earn the guaranteed hourly rate plus the Peak Pay incentive per active hour (together, shown in blue when you start your dash) for offers accepted while Peak Pay is in effect.

Dasher Challenges

Challenges are incentives that let you earn extra money for completing a certain number of deliveries in a set amount of time. Make sure to check the timestamp of when the challenge is valid in your time zone.

For example, over the course of a week (Monday 12:01 AM to Sunday 11:59 PM local time), you may earn an extra $20 for completing 15 deliveries.

For these Challenges, it is important that you complete the deliveries during the time period specified and in any of the starting points listed under the Challenge details page in the Dasher app.

You are automatically enrolled in active challenges in your area that you are eligible for. You do not have to opt in to participate in the Challenge.

Delivery Streaks

We’re piloting a new program that lets you earn more with each delivery. With Delivery Streaks, Dashers in select markets can make extra money by accepting and completing back-to-back deliveries in a row.

• Earn more as you dash. Get incentives when you accept and complete a consecutive set of orders within the start and end time indicated in your app.  

• Maximize your earning time. The more sets of consecutive deliveries you accept and complete, the more money you will make. 

• Track your progress. The Dasher app will show your progress as you accept and complete consecutive orders and watch your $$ grow.

Bonus Boost

A Bonus Boost is a bonus offered to Dashers in select markets when they are new to dashing or the demand in the market makes it necessary to encourage more Dashers to be on the platform. When the bonus is live, applicable Dashers may receive an extra pay per delivery on eligible offers. Any Bonus Boost will be included as a part of the total guaranteed pay for the offer. Currently available in Earn per Offer mode only.

Platinum Pay Promo

Exclusive to eligible Platinum Dashers in select markets. When the promotion is active, Platinum Dashers can earn additional pay on all completed deliveries that start from designated starting locations at the beginning of a dash session, and during specified time windows. Availability, locations, and timing may vary week to week. 

Dashers must accept and complete an offer to receive the additional pay boost. For offers with two or more orders (Batched Offers), total earnings for that offer may be capped at a certain amount. This promo does not apply to offers with tasks or offers completed on Earn by Time.

Distance Pay

Distance Pay can be added to your zone when it is busy. During Distance Pay, earn extra money based on the estimated distance on all offers completed during the specific date and time in eligible zones. The pay will be based on the estimated distance shown on the offer acceptance screen.

How earnings are calculated: We’ll prorate your pay based on the miles shown when you accept an offer. If the offer was estimated as 2.5 miles, you would get an extra $0.25. If a zone has additional promos, you’ll receive the combined amounts.

DashLink offers are not eligible for Distance Pay.
