Earning credits for photos:

Select DoorDash consumers have the opportunity to earn account credits by sharing a menu-worthy photo of an eligible menu item, as specified on the DoorDash platform. Eligible menu items are marked, and all these items currently don’t have menu photos. DoorDash will reward customers for submitting photos that are used on store menus. These photos will help other customers discover more dishes and help merchants add more great photos to their menus. Please note that a menu item only has one photo; however, tapping the menu item will lead to the item page gallery, which can have multiple photos of that item.

Earning credits for videos:

Select DoorDash consumers may have the opportunity to earn account credits by sharing raw video footage of their food from an eligible restaurant, as specified on the DoorDash platform. Eligible restaurants are marked. DoorDash will reward customers for submitting food footage that is selected to be featured in a video about the restaurant. These videos will help other customers learn more about the dishes the restaurant offers and other helpful information. Please note that approved video footage will appear on the DoorDash homepage and explore page. At this time, videos will not appear alongside reviews.

How do I earn credit for a photo?

Select users are eligible to earn credit. If you are eligible, you can follow these steps to submit a photo (images of steps included below):

1. Click on the credit offer banner on eligible restaurant pages. There may be multiple banners, so you may need to swipe right to see the credit offer banner.

2. To find items eligible for the offer, click 'Browse Items' or explore the restaurant menu.

3. Order these items from the store and be ready to snap some photos when your order arrives.

4. Before you dig in, snap some photos of the eligible items in your order and make sure the photos are:

  • Showcasing the eligible item– you want the dish front, center, & fully visible

  • Well-lit– natural lighting looks best, and try to minimize shadows

  • Worthy of a menu– try plating the item and take your best shot!

5. After receiving your order, leave a rating for the delivery experience.

6. Add your menu-worthy photo of an eligible, unique menu item from your completed order. You are not required to submit a review or rating alongside the photo.

7. Tag the eligible item in the photo and ensure it meets our Content Guidelines.

DoorDash will review your photo, and if it’s selected for the menu, you will receive credit within 14 days. The credit will be automatically added to your account and applied to your next order. See full offer terms and conditions here.

Photos can be submitted via the DoorDash app (iOS/Android) after receiving an order, on the store page, or the ‘Orders’ tab.

  1. Click on the ‘Orders’ tab at the bottom of the app.

  2. Click “View Receipt” on the specific order.

  3. Rate the restaurant.

How can I find items that are incentivized for photos?

To find items that are incentivized, follow these steps:

  1. Look for the offer banner on restaurant pages.

  2. Click on 'Browse Items' or review the restaurant menu to identify items eligible for the offer.

Why can’t I find a banner on the restaurant page for photo incentives?

The offer banner only appears on restaurant pages with eligible items. If a store does not have any incentivized items, the banner will not appear, and the offer will not apply. You may need to swipe right to see more banners if multiple offer banners appear.

When will I receive my credit for photos?

If your submitted photo meets the guidelines and criteria for menu-worthy, you will receive your credit within 7-14 days.

If your photo was selected, it will appear directly on the restaurant’s menu. Menu-worthy photos exhibit certain attributes to ensure they’re suitable for the restaurant menu. Here are some key features to focus on:

  • Ideal lighting- Place in natural light or a well-lit setting

  • Centered framing- Have the entire dish in view

  • Just one menu item- Ensure that the photo focuses exclusively on the single menu item

Can I get credit for the same item multiple times for photos?

No, you cannot receive credit for the same item twice. Each unique menu item is eligible for credit once during each order. Submitting multiple photos of the same menu item will not increase the credited amount.

Is there a limit to the amount of credit I can receive?

The combined overall maximum lifetime credit amount for photo and video incentives is capped at $500 per person.

Select users may be eligible to earn credit in select markets. Raw footage submitted will be used to create future videos for the restaurant. Therefore, it is not necessary to edit the video before submitting.

Here are some tips when recording your video snippet:

  • Keep it short: Videos 10-20 seconds long that focus on individual dishes are usually best

  • Set the scene: Make your food shine with natural lighting and keep it focused on the dishes.

  • Leave the editing to us: No need to add any overlays, voiceovers, or other edits. We’ll take care of it!

4. Select the video.

5. Complete the submission video flow.
