Transfer Money From Your Account (Instantly or Standard ACH)

DoorDash Crimson gives you two ways to move money out of your account — so you can access your funds the way that works best for you:

  • Instant Transfers(1): Send money to a linked debit or reloadable card in seconds — for a small fee.

  • Standard ACH Transfers: Move funds to a linked bank account in 3-5 business days, with no fee.

As mentioned above, instant transfers allow you to quickly move funds from your DoorDash Crimson account to your linked debit or reloadable prepaid card for a fee. It’s the fastest way to send your money from DoorDash Crimson to another account when you need it.

Whichever option you choose, whether you’re paying a bill today or transferring money to savings, DoorDash Crimson offers flexible, secure, and transparent options to help you stay in control of your money.

1 Instant Transfers generally occur immediately, but delays or failures may occur. Funds availability depends on the receiving financial institution.  Instant Transfers are not allowed in the first 24 hours after a new debit card is added. Transfers may also be limited for an additional 24 hours after card verification.   For details about transfer limits, please see the Deposit Account Agreement.

Instant Transfers In

What is Instant Transfer In?

Instant Transfer In (also called AFT — Account Funding Transfer) lets you move money from an eligible debit card directly into your Crimson account. Funds arrive immediately(2) — no ACH delays, no more waiting 3-5 business days.

2 Instant Transfers generally occur immediately, but delays or failures may occur.

Is this different from my DoorDash earnings depositing into Crimson?

Yes. Your DoorDash earnings are automatically deposited into your Crimson account after every dash. Instant Transfer In is a separate feature that lets you fund your Crimson account from any eligible external debit card — so you can add money whenever you need it, not just after a dash.

Is there a fee to use Instant Transfer In?

No. There are no fees for Instant Transfer In. You keep every dollar you move.

What cards can I use?

You can use eligible Visa or Mastercard debit cards. The following card types are not supported:

  • Credit cards

  • Prepaid cards

  • Cards from unsupported networks (e.g. Amex, Discover)

If your card is not eligible, you'll see an error message during the card-linking step.

Can I add more than one card?

No. You can have one eligible debit card linked at a time for Instant Transfer In. You can update or change your card from the Linked Accounts page inside the app.

What information do I need to add my card?

You'll need to provide the following details when adding a card:

  • Card number (PAN)

  • Expiration date

  • CVV

  • Full billing address (street and zip code)

This information is required for security verification purposes.

I already have a card linked for Instant Transfer Out. Do I need to add it again?

No. If you've previously linked a card for Instant Transfer Out, you won't need to re-enter all your card details. However, you will still be asked to confirm your CVV and address for security purposes.

Can I have a separate card linked for Instant Transfer Out and Instant Transfer In?

No.  You can have one eligible card linked which must be used for both Instant Transfer In and Instant Transfer Out.

What is the minimum amount I can transfer in?

The minimum transfer amount is $5 per transaction. If you enter an amount below $5, the transfer button will be disabled, and you'll see a prompt indicating the minimum.

Is there a maximum amount I can transfer?

Yes. The following limits apply:

  • $300 per calendar day

  • $1,000 per calendar month

  • Maximum of 2 transfers per calendar day

These limits reset based on the calendar day and calendar month. You'll be shown how close you are to your limits when initiating a transfer.

What happens if I try to transfer more than my daily or monthly limit?

If you've reached your daily or monthly limit, the transfer option will be unavailable. It will become available again once the limit resets.

Why are there limits?

Transfer limits are in place as responsible guardrails to help protect your account and ensure the security of your money. Think of them as clear boundaries — no surprises, just transparent rules.

My card was declined or marked as ineligible. What should I do?

If your card can't be added, you'll see a message that the card is not eligible for Instant Transfer In on your account. Common reasons include:

  • The card is a credit card or prepaid card (only Visa/Mastercard debit cards are supported)

  • The card did not pass verification checks

  • The card is associated with a blocked issuer

Try adding a different eligible Visa or Mastercard debit card. If you continue to have issues, contact Dasher support.

My transfer failed. What happened?

If a transfer fails, you'll see a failure screen with next steps. Common causes include:

  • Insufficient funds on the source debit card

  • Card verification failure

  • Daily or monthly transfer limits already reached

Review the error message shown and try again. If the issue persists, contact Dasher support.

I transferred money but it's not showing in my balance. What do I do?

Instant transfers should appear in your balance immediately after confirmation. If you don't see the funds within a few minutes, try refreshing your Crimson hub. If the issue continues, contact Dasher support and reference the transaction.

Is Instant Transfer In secure?

Yes. All card additions go through verification checks, including address and card authentication. Your card details are handled securely and never stored in a way that's accessible to other users. Additional fraud protections are in place to monitor for unusual activity.
