Catalog Manager Overview

4 min de lecture

The Catalog Manager in Ads Manager gives you self-serve access to your full product mix along with each item’s consumer-facing content. Key benefits of Catalog Manager:

  • Easily see which items are available for you to advertise on

  • Understand which items comprise your business reporting

  • Audit the accuracy and breadth of your catalog and each item’s content

  • Find answers to common catalog questions in the Help & FAQ module

A complete and accurate catalog ensures products appear correctly, ads show the right items, and reporting reflects true performance.

Receiving your catalog from either a preferred Syndicator (e.g. Salsify, Syndigo, 1WorldSync, etc.) or Flat File is a requirement for advertising your products on DoorDash.  Before you launch your first campaign, review your products in Catalog Manager and confirm that your product content and attributes are up to date. Doing so will ensure that DoorDash can accurately display the full range of your items available across the marketplace during the campaign.

For fast, hassle-free catalog content updates, upload your content to one of our partner product syndicators. You can select your preferred syndicator by going to the ‘Settings’ and then ‘Integrations’ page in your Ads Manager account. If you do not work with a syndicator, you can send us your product content in a flat file.

Catalog terms and definitions

As you work with Catalog Manager, you may come across technical terms related to product data, identifiers, and catalog ingestion. These terms are commonly used when reviewing your catalog, working with syndication partners, or troubleshooting product eligibility and data accuracy.

Here is a list of terms you're likely to encounter:

Syndicator

Syndicators are third-party platforms that brands use to house their product information, including images and attributes. DoorDash connects with a brand’s preferred syndicator to receive and update the brand’s product information.

Flat File

A text file DoorDash receives that consists of item content. This can be used to ingest new items into the DoorDash catalog or request updates to products in the DoorDash catalog. Usually, this is in the form of an Excel or CSV file.

GTIN

Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) is used by a company to uniquely identify its items. At DoorDash, GTIN refers to the 14-digit unique identifier code for each item. An item may have multiple GTINs attached to it in DoorDash. If we believe multiple GTINs represent the same item, we’ll merge those items together and include a comma-separated list of the GTINs.

UPC

Universal Product Code (UPC) is a 12-digit code used as a unique identifier for items, primarily in North America. An item may have multiple UPCs attached to it in DoorDash. If we believe multiple UPCs represent the same item, we’ll merge those items together and include a comma-separated list of the UPCs.

DDSIC

The unique DoorDash identifier assigned to each item that has been ingested into the DoorDash catalog.

Primary Image

The primary image is the first image DoorDash consumers see of your product.

Auxiliary Image

Auxiliary images are the additional images DoorDash consumers see when they scroll through your product’s image carousel. You can upload up to seven auxiliary images per product.
