There is a long wait at the restaurant
We apologize for any long wait at a restaurant due to the food being delayed. Merchants do get busy, especially during peak times. In the case of these waits, you may ask the merchant directly for an estimated prep time, as Support is unable to provide a better estimate than the merchant.
The best Dashers also recommend calling or texting the customer to let them know of potential delays.
If you are unable or unwilling to complete the order, you may unassign yourself from the order by taking the following steps without contacting Support.
If you have already marked the order as picked up, you will need to contact Support to be unassigned. Both methods of unassigning will impact your Completion Rate.
For Dashers with Android devices:
Click the Help button in the top right-hand corner of the dasher app
Under Picking Up, tap Unassign this Delivery
Select a reason for why you are unassigning from the delivery.
For Dashers with iOS devices:
Click the Help button in the top right-hand corner of the Dasher app
Select Can't do this order?
Select a reason for why you are unassigning from the delivery
Click Submit Request / Submit
Click Continue to confirm the unassignment.
