Challenges

Q: What are the Challenges?

A: Challenges are incentives that let you earn extra money for completing a certain number of deliveries in a set amount of time. Make sure to check the timestamp of when the challenge is valid in your time zone.

For example, over the course of a week (Monday 12:01 AM to Sunday 11:59 PM local time), you may earn an extra $20 for completing 15 deliveries.

For these Challenges, it is important that you complete the deliveries during the time period specified and in any of the starting points listed under the Challenge details page in the Dasher app.

You are automatically enrolled in active challenges in your area that you are eligible for. You do not have to opt in to participate in the Challenge.

Q: Where can I find currently active Challenges in my area?

A: Any Challenge that is currently active and not yet completed in your area will show up on the Dash Now Panel of the dasher app home screen. Open your Dasher app and select your starting point to see if you have an active Challenge in your area. At this moment, there will only be one active Challenge in a starting point at any given time period.

In this example, in Palo Alto/Redwood City, there is currently a $20 Challenge active until July 7th.

Tap on the Challenge for details.

The Challenge info screen will show all the pertaining details including the number of deliveries required, the days/times the Challenge is valid for, the extra amount you can earn for completing the Challenge, as well as the starting points the Challenge is active in. The list of eligible starting points shows all the areas in which this Challenge is valid. Deliveries completed in ANY of these eligible starting points will count towards the active Challenge.

In this example, any delivery that is completed between July 1st at 12:01 am and July 7th at 11:59 pm (local time) in Palo Alto/Redwood City, Cupertino/Campbell/Los Gatos, Morgan Hill/Gilroy, San Jose, or Santa Clara starting points, will count towards the Challenge.

Q: I’m seeing other Dashers in my area getting challenges. Why am I not receiving any?

A: Challenges are sent to Dashers based on additional criteria other than geographic location (e.g., new Dashers, long time Dashers, etc). So if you did not get notified of a certain challenge, there may be a different one for you later on!

Q: I’m receiving texts about Challenges but not seeing them in my app?

A: There are few reasons why the Dasher Challenges are no longer active in your Dasher App.

  • Challenges are typically active for 1 to 7 days and are only available in specific starting points

  • Challenges only show up in the app at the time that they are live

  • Once the challenge is complete, you will no longer see it on the Dash Now Panel or track progress while on a dash

If you have completed the criteria and were eligible for the Challenge you will be paid out even if it is no longer in the app.

Q: How can I track my progress during an active Challenge?

A: You will be able to track progress against an active Challenge on the Challenge information screen above from the Dash Now home screen. You will also be able to track progress towards a Challenge while on a dash as shown below. Tapping into the active Challenge while on a dash will display the details.

When the last delivery towards the Challenge is completed, you will see a Challenge completion screen after you finish that delivery, as shown below. Once the challenge is complete, you will no longer see it on the Dash Now Panel or track progress while on a dash. Instead, you will see your weekly earnings update with the completed challenge information. Canceled or unassigned orders do not count towards the number of deliveries required to successfully complete a Challenge.

Q: How do I receive my challenge pay?

A: Once you have completed a Challenge successfully within the time window, you will see the Challenge payout in your weekly earnings. If you are currently on a dash and complete a Challenge, you will see the Challenge earnings payout after you end the current dash.

If you go to the earnings tab, tap into the week when the Challenge was completed, and you will see Challenge payout under “Other”, as shown below. Tapping into the Challenge will give you additional details on the Challenge you completed. Once the Challenge is displayed in your earnings, it is available to be paid out with your weekly dash earnings (paid out the following Monday).

If you are eligible for Fast Pay, you are able to cash out the Challenge earnings with your dash earnings immediately with any Fast Pay transaction.

Q: What do I do if I’m missing my earnings?

A: Challenge pay will be reflected in your weekly deposit. Please ensure you have completed all the requirements of the challenge, within the eligible time frame.

Q: How do Challenges work with Peak Pay?

A: If a Challenge is running at the same time as peak pay, any delivery that you complete will count towards achieving both the challenge and peak pay.

In the example below, there is an active $4.00 peak pay and an active Challenge in Palo Alto/Redwood city. For any single or batched delivery you complete before 12:30pm, you will get $4.00 in peak pay (if peak pay constraints are met) AND the delivery will count towards the $20 Challenge.
