To help ensure a seamless delivery experience for deliveries, the Dasher app will require a proof of delivery drop-off photo. Once you submit one that is high quality and helpful, you’ll be able to complete the delivery and continue dashing.

How to confirm delivery drop-off details
Once you have arrived at the delivery address, any customer drop-off notes/requests (for example, intercom, floor number, etc.) will be visible in the delivery instructions of your Dasher app.

Since many deliveries are now contactless, you can place the order in front of the destination’s door or home. If the customer has notes, drop off the item and don’t forget to take a good picture.
Tips for taking a good drop-off Photo
Include surrounding features like a tree, doorway or decor
Make sure your picture of the order bag is not blurry
The image should be well lit, using flash if needed

If you are still unsure where to meet the customer:
Tap the trip details bar at the bottom of the screen
Tap the phone/message icon next to the customer's name
Select the phone call or messaging option

FAQs
Q: I tried to take a picture, but my surroundings are too dark. What should I do?
A: If your surroundings are too dark, tap the flash icon to turn the flash on. Then, proceed to take the picture as normal.
Q: What happens if I can’t find the customer’s address?
A: If you are having trouble finding the customer, try calling and texting the customer to let them know you’ve arrived. It helps to try both, some customers don’t receive texts from DoorDash, while others can’t answer their phones or won’t answer an unknown number.
Q: What do I do if the customer asks to place the bag in a different location?
A: If the customer has notes on a different location, drop off the item at the agreed location, and don’t forget to take a picture.
