General

Q: I'm having issues placing an Expensed Meals order. What should I do?

A: First, make sure you are placing your order via Web Browser (not the DoorDash mobile app.)

Then, make sure you have a personal payment method set up over in the Payment tab. (For more information, visit Payment Methods.) A personal payment method is required in the event that your order surpasses your available budget.

Next, check that you have an Expensed Meals budget available to you over on the Benefits page. Double-check that the budget is still valid and has money left on it.

If all of this is correct and you are still having issues with placing an order, contact our Live Support or email us at [email protected].

Budgets

Q: How many budgets can I set up at a given time?

A: You are free to set up multiple Expensed Meals budgets at the same time. When an employee has been assigned to multiple groups, only the highest value budget will be applied at checkout. Employees cannot combine multiple budgets within a single order.

Q: How are Expensed Meals budgets applied to employees?

A: Once an employee is logged in with an email address that matches what has been entered in the Admin Portal, budgets will be applied at checkout when ordering through DoorDash.

Q: How can a budget be restricted to a certain address?

A: Please reach out to [email protected] to restrict expensed meal budgets to orders to a certain address.

Order Restrictions

Q: Can I purchase alcohol with my Expensed Meals budget?

A: No, Expensed Meals budgets cannot be applied towards the purchase of alcohol or any other age-restricted items.

Q: What will happen if an employee tries to use a meal budget to order age-restricted items?

A: If an employee tries to check out with age-restricted items such as alcohol in their cart, an Expensed Meals budget will not apply towards the order and will instead be charged to the employee's personal card on-file.
