Merchant CP2100 2nd B-Notice

Per IRS mandate, DoorDash is required to maintain accurate legal and tax information of merchant partners in order to continue store payments. If the Tax ID Number and/or legal business name on file for a business are incorrect, we are required by the IRS to suspend store payments until correct information is provided. To lift the restriction, we ask merchants to send correct tax information documents to [email protected] and include “CP2100 2nd B-Notice” in the subject line.

Non-individuals or Certain Sole Proprietors: If the incorrect TIN you provided is an Employer Identification Number, you must provide us with a 147C letter. Please follow these steps:

  1. Reach out to the IRS to request a 147C letter. To request a 147C letter from the IRS contact the IRS Business and Specialty Tax line at 1-800-829-4933. They are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, taxpayer local time (Alaska and Hawaii follow Pacific Time). Be prepared to answer several security questions.

  2. Please make sure to update the information you provide to us in the Merchant Portal such that it matches the information on the 147C letter.

  3. Once secured, the letter must be provided to DoorDash via [email protected] and include “CP2100 2nd B-Notice” in the subject line to lift the restriction.

Individuals: If the incorrect TIN you provided us is a Social Security Number, you must provide us with a copy of your Social Security card. Please follow these steps:

  1. The social security card must show your correct name/SSN combination. If you do not have a card meeting the requirement you must apply for a SocialSecurity card by submitting SSA Form SS-5 to the SSA in person or by mail. That form and further information regarding the application for a Social Security card are available at ssa.gov. Allow 7-10 business days for receipt of your Social Security card. If you do not have a card meeting the requirement you must apply for a SocialSecurity card by submitting SSA Form SS-5 to the SSA in person or by mail.

  2. Please make sure the information on the Social Security card matches the information you provided in the Merchant Portal.

  3. Once you receive your Social Security card, make a copy of the card and send it to DoorDash via [email protected] and include “CP2100 2nd B-Notice” in the subject line.
