What is Fast Pay?

Fast Pay gives Dashers in the United States and Canada the ability to cash out their earnings once per day for a small fee of $1.99. This means Dashers can receive their earnings on demand through DoorDash, rather than waiting for their weekly direct deposit or using DoorDash Crimson.

Fast Pay is not available to all Dashers. You must have a debit card linked to your Dasher account—not a prepaid card—to use the Fast Pay service.

Q: How do I sign up?
A: Add your debit card by clicking “Cash Out Now” in the Earnings section of your Dasher app or “Fast Pay” in the Payout Methods section of the app.

Q: How do I cash out?
A: Once you’ve successfully added your card, you’ll be able to cash out any outstanding earnings by tapping “Cash Out Now” in the Earnings section of the app, selecting your card, and then tapping “Cash Out.”

Q: What can I cash out using Fast Pay?
A: You can cash out your entire earnings balance, except for earnings from Dashes that are currently in progress. You can only use Fast Pay once per day.

Q: How can I update my debit card information?
A: Go to the Earnings section of the app. Tap “Payout Details,” then “Fast Pay,” then “Update Debit Card.”

Q: When will I receive my Fast Pay earnings in my bank account?
A: Transfers usually happen within minutes, but they can take up to a few business days to appear in the available balance of your debit card, depending on your bank’s processing time.

Q: How will Fast Pay appear in my Dasher account?
A: You will receive an email confirmation for each completed Fast Pay transaction, which will show the amount transferred to you via Fast Pay.

Q: Where is Fast Pay available?
A: Fast Pay is available to all US Dashers and Canada Dashers. For more information on Canada Fast Pay click here.

Q: What do I need to sign up for Fast Pay?
A: You’ll need your personal bank account details and an active debit card. Unfortunately, you cannot use a prepaid card at this time.

Q: I don't have access to Fast Pay right now. What’s up?
A: You might not have Fast Pay because:

• You do not have an active Dasher account.

• You do not have at least $1.99 in your earnings balance.

• You have any kind of withholdings drawn from your account.

• Your debit card account has a negative balance.

• You have already cashed out with Fast Pay today.

• You are not in the US/Canada market.

• Fast pay is unavailable if you are using DoorDash Crimson. Please make sure your payment method is set to Fast Pay.

Using Fast Pay

Q: Can I cash out whenever I want?
A: Yes, you can cash out at any time, up to once per day. Any earnings in your balance that you don’t cash out by 11:59:59 PM (PST) on Sunday will be deposited into your bank account as a weekly direct deposit, with a processing period of 2–3 business days.

Q: Why isn’t the app letting me cash out today?
A: You can only cash out with Fast Pay once per day.

If you receive an email alerting you of changes to your Fast Pay details that you did not make, be sure to immediately change your password and correct the debit card information on the Earnings tab of your app.

Q: I want to cash out, but my available cash balance is $0.
A: Your available cash balance is showing $0 because any weekly earnings not transferred via Fast Pay by Sunday at 11:59:59 PM (PST) are routed to your regular weekly payment, which you will receive through direct deposit 2–3 business days later.

Q: Why doesn’t my Fast Pay amount match my total earnings?
A: Your balance to cash out includes only completed dashes. Once you complete your dash, you should see your new total earnings.

Q: I tried to cash out after one Dash, but it’s not working. Why not?
A: Your Dash may still be processing. As soon as it successfully processes, your earnings will be available.

Q: Can I cancel a transfer?
A: No. If you cash out your earnings, you won’t be able to cancel your transfer.

Q: It's just not working. Why?
A: Make sure you have the latest version of the Dasher app. Some banks limit debit card transfers per day for security reasons, so if you have a lot of transfers in one day, Fast Pay may not work.
