Q: Why is DoorDash asking me to verify my auto insurance?
A: While the vast majority of deliveries are completed without issue, in the rare instance things don’t go as planned, it’s important that support is available when needed. It's why all Dashers are covered for free with our occupational accident insurance. That’s also why every Dasher agrees to maintain insurance that covers their dashing activity, in an amount required by local law.
In that spirit, we are reaching out to verify that you have obtained the required auto insurance coverage, as agreed to in the Insurance section of your Independent Contractor Agreement (“ICA”). To help complete and simplify this important process, we’ve partnered with MeasureOne, a reputable verification vendor.
Q: I’ve been deactivated because I didn’t verify my auto insurance. What can I do to get reinstated?
A: The process is quick and easy. You can verify your insurance coverage either through linking your insurance carrier to MeasureOne or by manually submitting an electronic PDF document. Please follow this link to proceed.
Once you’ve verified your insurance, you will be reactivated within 24 hours.
Q: I’ve tried to verify my insurance through the link but I’m still having issues. What can I do?
A: If you’ve already started the process to verify your insurance but have run into technical difficulties, you can reach out to our partner’s support [email protected]. If you’ve started the process, MeasureOne will reach out to you to remind you to complete the process.
Q: I do not have auto insurance.
A: Auto insurance is required as agreed in the Insurance section of your Independent Contractor Agreement (“ICA”). Dashers without insurance are subject to deactivation.
Q: I am using a rental car.
A: Dashers should maintain auto insurance when using a rental car, whether it's their personal policy or through the rental provider, and they can upload the relevant documentation using the provided link.
Q: I got deactivated, how long do I have to upload the auto insurance?
A: Dasher has the option to upload the auto insurance within 30 days following deactivation.
