Troubleshooting the Dasher App

Find your DoorDash Dasher’s Latest App Version

  1. Find the operating system of your device.

    1. Android: On your device, go to the Home screen (the one with all the icons), and tap on the Settings icon. Scroll down and tap on About phone. Some information will appear. If one of the lines of information says Android with a version number, you have an Android device.

    2.  iOS: On your device, go to the Home screen > Settings > General and then tap on About phone If you do not see About phone or About tablet, look for an iCloud option. If you see this option (you don’t have to select it), that means you have an iOS device.

  3. Confirm the latest Dasher app version by clicking below and if prompted, please update the app.

  • Check for a reliable WiFi connection and ensure you are not using a VPN service.

  2. Logout and login again

    1. To logout: Tap the Account icon > Settings tab > Log Out.

    2. To login: Launch app > Enter login credentials > Tap Sign In

    1. To view your open apps, press and slide up to see your most recently used apps.

    2. Swipe right or left until you find the DoorDash app.

    3. Once found, swipe it up to close it.

    4. Return to your Home screen by clicking the Home button.

    5. Find and re-open the DoorDash app.

  4. Uninstall and Reinstall the Doordash Dasher app

    1. Uninstall the DoorDash Dasher app, If you are not connected to Wifi, installing the app will use data and affect your data usage. This will ensure the bug fixes. Our technical team implements the app and will update your installed version of the app. 

    2. Press and hold on to the Dasher application icon on the screen and this will pop out three options then choose the option “ Remove App”. It will uninstall the application from the device.

    3. After uninstalling the Dasher app successfully, please reinstall it from the App Store

    1. Press and hold both the Sleep/Wake button and the Volume down button until the red slider appears.

    2. Drag the slider from left to right to turn the device off.

    3. After the device turns off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button again until you see the Apple logo. This means the phone is powering back on.

    1. Go to Settings (gear icon) > Applications > Applications Manager > Running tab

    2. Scroll down until you find the DoorDash app and tap on it.

    3. Click Stop or Force Stop App to close the app.

    4. Return to your Home screen.

    5. Find and relaunch the DoorDash app.

  • Instead of the usual welcome screen, a black screen will appear showing a list of text options.

The app is not giving you offers:

If you are not receiving offers, please check to ensure the following:

  1. Your network connection is working

  2. You are logged in to a Dasher App

  3. Your Dash is not paused

  4. Head towards a hotspot

  5. Try to Dash during peak times such as lunch or dinner rushes

  6. Schedule your Dash

  7. Certain areas or times of the day, week, or year are more difficult to get offers than others

    1. Examples:

      1. After Christmas

      2. During spring or summer breaks

    2. Under these circumstances, go to areas that are NOT showing as hotspots since these areas are attracting a large number of Dashers. 

Phone Requirements

Dashers can use their iOS or Android phones. Certain jailbroken or rooted phones may have trouble accessing the Dasher app. If you are having trouble accessing the Dasher App after multiple attempts, you can try to reset your phone or login using another phone altogether.
