Getting hungry and wondering where your food is? We’ve got you covered. 

Follow this link to check the status of your order, and contact your Dasher if you have any questions in your account. We can also send you notifications about any important updates regarding your order - just make sure you’ve opted into notifications.

How to track the status of your order

After check-out, your order will go through different stages:

  • In the process of being confirmed

  • At the restaurant

  • The Dasher is on the way to you

If the restaurant you ordered from had the message, "This store delivers its own orders" (either on its store page or in check out) then DoorDash is unfortunately not able to track your delivery. Please contact the restaurant directly.

  • Mobile users

  • Desktop users

Mobile users:

  1. From the “Orders" tab, tap on your order to view its status

  2. The status information includes the estimated time of arrival and one of the three stages described above

  3. Tracking the Dasher’s status

    1. If a Dasher has already agreed to deliver your order

      • A map will appear in the orders tab showing the Dasher location respective to the restaurant and the delivery address 

      • You can also contact the Dasher directly by tapping the text or call button below the status bar on your order

      • Please note that Dashers need to stay safe and obey the rules of the road. If a Dasher does not answer immediately, they may be driving

    2. If your order has yet to be picked up by a Dasher

      • Please bear with us as we may be more busy than usual

  1. Select your order and click “Help

  2. Select “Order Status

  3. Follow the prompts to check when your order is going to be delivered and the status of your Dasher

Why is my order taking longer than expected?

First and foremost, we're sorry that your order is taking longer than expected! While we strive to make both your order and delivery experience perfect every time, sometimes mistakes happen. And when they do, we're here to make things right.

Restaurants and Dashers do their best to complete orders within the estimated delivery time, but external factors can cause delay. Reasons why an order may take longer than expected:

  • The Dasher may be stuck in traffic

  • The Dasher may need to take a detour

  • The restaurant may be busy

If your order is running behind the provided estimated time of arrival, you can report this issue directly in the app. Please click here for instructions if you order arrived late.
