Common Issues
Below are some of the most common issues regarding budgets applying to orders:
User did not join the team on their end or is ordering from a different DoorDash account.
Double check the email in their DoorDash account matches the email listed in the Employees tab.
Make sure they have an account created under the listed work email.
Have them sign in through a desktop browser and then head to doordash.com/teams/join to join the team
Please note, employees will not have access to meal budgets without joining the team by visiting doordash.com/teams/join.
If everything is correct and they are still not able to join:
Remove the user/email from the Admin Portal and add the user back.
Have them try to join again by heading to doordash.com/teams/join.

User is not a member of the correct group assigned to the budget.
Double-check the user is a member of the subgroup assigned to the budget.
If everyone has access to a budget that only specific people should have access to, please make sure everything is correct on the budget and subgroup members list:

Members already applied their budget on previous orders.
Their check out page will say “No company meal budget remaining” under the Company Payment section.¹
You can check if they already used their budget through the order download option in your Benefit Portal’s Billing History tab.² Specific budgets used will be seen under the Budget Name column once downloaded.

Member is ordering outside of designated budget window.
For ASAP Orders: Orders need to be placed within the budget window.
For Schedule Ahead Orders: Order delivery time needs to be scheduled within the budget window.
Please note if the budget is recurring weekly, monthly, or daily:
Monthly recurring budgets restart on the 1st of each calendar month at 12am local time
Weekly recurring budgets restarts every Monday at 12am local time
Daily recurring budgets restart every day at 12am local time

Budget overlaps another larger budget.
Multiple budgets available at the same time can sometimes cause issues in determining which budget will be used on the order.
The Checkout page may default to the larger budget available.
This can be changed manually by clicking into the budget and selecting which you want to use.

Member is located in a different country.
Admin Portals can not accommodate members in a different country than the Portal was set up in.
All self-serve Admin Portals are currently only available for the USA.
It is required to have 2 separate Portals for Canada and US in order for all users to be able to utilize budgets.

Member is ordering an age-restricted item or ordering from a grocery / convenience Merchant.
Any orders containing alcohol or any other age-restricted items are not permitted on a company budget.
If you wish to enable Grocery & Convenience stores on your Admin Portal, please reach out to our VIP Support team or your dedicated Account Manager if applicable.
