Connect Your Locally Store to DoorDash
Connecting your store takes just a few simple steps.
1. Open the DoorDash Integration
Log in to your Locally Dashboard.
Select 3P Integrations.
Choose DoorDash.
Click Initiate to begin connecting your store.

Have Multiple Locations?
If your business has more than one location connected to Locally, you can activate each store on DoorDash from the same 3P Integration Settings page. Here is how it works:
On the 3P Integration Settings page, scroll to the Participating Stores section.
Your connected locations appear in the Enabled Stores table.
Click Initiate under the Actions column for each location you want to activate on DoorDash.
You only need to complete the DoorDash account setup steps once — the same account and settings apply across all your locations. Each store tracks its own activation progress in the Setup Progress column.

2. Complete Your DoorDash Setup
Follow these steps to create your account and connect your store:
Select Create Account and enter your business details.
Choose your business category (e.g., Retail → Home Goods, Beauty, Sports, Baby Products, Books, etc.).
Enter your store hours.
Select your DoorDash marketplace package.
Enter your banking information for payouts.
DoorDash will automatically match your store details and begin building your catalog.
Track your progress using the Activation Tracker in the DoorDash Merchant Portal.
Once your integration is complete, a DoorDash onboarding team member will guide you through going live and accepting your first orders.
3. Sync Your Catalog
After onboarding is complete, Locally automatically shares your catalog and inventory with DoorDash. There are no spreadsheets to upload or products to recreate. Your existing inventory feed becomes the source of truth for your DoorDash storefront.
4. DoorDash Activates Your Store
The DoorDash onboarding team reviews your information and completes the remaining setup. Once approved:
Your products become available on DoorDash Marketplace.
Inventory begins syncing automatically.
You are ready to start accepting DoorDash orders.
Estimated Setup Time
Most existing Locally merchants are ready to launch within a few business days after completing onboarding.
Prepare Your Store
Before going live, take a few minutes to confirm your store is ready.

Product & Catalog Management (Catalog & Inventory Setup Guide)
When you connect your Locally account to DoorDash, your storefront is built directly from what's already configured in your POS and Locally Dashboard. Understanding how that sync works — and what to get right before going live — ensures your store looks exactly the way you want on DoorDash.
Locally Is the Source Your existing Locally platform is the single source of truth for catalog, inventory, and orders. No manual overrides on our end. | Updates Come From Your POS All catalog changes happen in your POS or inventory system. Locally passes updates to DoorDash automatically. | Items Sync By Stock on Hand Only items with an active inventory feed sync. Stock on hand determines active vs. inactive status. |
Before your store can go live, make sure the following is up to date in your Locally Dashboard and POS:
Active inventory feed with current pricing (no feed, no catalog)
An active Locally account with a physical retail location connected
Locally store name matches your DoorDash Merchant Portal store name exactly
Banking information submitted for DoorDash payouts
Store hours entered and confirmed during DoorDash setup
Order notification recipients set: Buy it Locally → Setup & Configuration → Notification Schedule
1 - YOUR CATALOG SYNCS FROM LOCALLY
What's configured in your POS and passed to Locally is exactly what gets published to DoorDash. There is no curation, re-ordering, or editing of your catalog on our side. This means:
Product names, descriptions, and prices appear exactly as set in your POS / Locally feed
Product images are pulled directly from your Locally Master Catalog listings
Any errors or gaps in your feed will be reflected on your DoorDash store page
Categories sync where available, and are pre-mapped to DoorDash taxonomy
⚠ All changes must be made in your POS or Locally Dashboard
DoorDash cannot edit your catalog on your behalf. If something looks wrong on your store page — a price, a product name, an image, or a missing item — the fix must be made directly in your POS or Locally Dashboard. Once the correction syncs, the catalog will update on DoorDash automatically.
2 - PRODUCTS MUST MATCH YOUR MASTER CATALOG
Every product that appears on DoorDash is checked against your Locally Master Catalog. Getting this match right is critical — it controls whether an item is discoverable, and how it's organized, for customers.
Match every product to the Master Catalog. Items that don't match may appear incorrectly or not at all.
Keep product data clean and complete. Accurate names, descriptions, and pricing improve both matching and search visibility.
Avoid duplicate listings. The same item listed more than once in your feed can create duplicate or conflicting entries on DoorDash.
📌 Catalog matching is automatic — but only as good as your feed
We build your DoorDash storefront based on the Master Catalog data your POS provides. If a product is missing, mismatched, or incomplete in that feed, we cannot move or fix individual items on our side.
3 - INVENTORY IS DRIVEN BY STOCK ON HAND
Unlike a manual toggle, item availability on DoorDash is determined automatically by your inventory levels — nothing needs to be separately “enabled” for DoorDash once your feed is connected.
Positive stock on hand → item is active and orderable on DoorDash
Zero stock on hand → item automatically goes inactive and drops from your DoorDash storefront
This applies at the variant level — each size, flavor, or SKU is tracked independently
Big & Bulky (60+ lbs) | Alcohol | Weapons | CBD-only merchants | Bikes / E-Bikes |
↳ Locally has guardrails in place to automatically block the categories above from appearing in your DoorDash inventory feed, so they never sync even if present in your POS.
4 - KEEPING YOUR CATALOG UP TO DATE
Data | Source | Sync Frequency |
|---|---|---|
Product catalog | Locally (from your POS) | Hourly |
Inventory / stock levels | Locally (from your POS) | Hourly |
Orders | DoorDash → Locally | Real time |
Common update scenarios:
Price change in your POS → reflected on DoorDash at the next hourly sync
New product added to your feed → appears on DoorDash once it matches the Master Catalog
Item marked out of stock → automatically hidden from DoorDash
4 - CATALOG HEALTH
Maintain strong catalog health with clear product names, quality images, and accurate pricing to improve discoverability and drive sales.
Product Naming is Critical — Most customers discover items through Search. Use clear, keyword-rich names: [Brand] [Gender/Age*] [Item Name] [Variant/Color/Material*] [Container/Count*] (*include only when applicable)
High-Quality Images — All products must have high-quality images. Products without images may not sync to DoorDash Marketplace.
Up-to-Date, Non-Inflated Pricing — Pricing is pulled directly from Locally and must reflect your standard prices. Price inflation to offset commission is not supported and can hurt visibility.
Restricted Items — Do not include alcohol, weapons, big & bulky items, or other unsupported categories in your feed — Locally will automatically block these from syncing.
Example — good product naming:
Nike Men's Blue Short Sleeve Cotton Shirt

Can I adjust my prices on DoorDash?
No, price inflation is not available with the Locally integration. Pricing comes directly from Locally and reflects your standard prices. DoorDash strongly advises against inflating prices to offset commission fees, as this can negatively affect your store's visibility and customer experience.
I sell restricted items — how will they be handled?
Locally has guardrails in place to automatically block items that cannot be sold on DoorDash (for example, bikes and e-bikes) from appearing in your DoorDash inventory feed.
Is commission calculated on the total order or subtotal?
Commission is calculated on the order subtotal only, excluding fees and taxes.
How do taxes work?
DoorDash acts as a marketplace facilitator for tax purposes. For details, visit merchants.doordash.com/en-us/learning-center/merchant-tax-facilitator.
What customer information can I see?
In the DoorDash Merchant Portal you can view breakdowns of new, occasional, and frequent customers. Individual customer details such as names and email addresses are not shared.
How does DoorDash search work for retail?
Search results are primarily ranked by relevance, customer engagement, and predicted availability. For identical products, DoorDash uses a buy-box ranking model that prioritises competitive pricing from high-quality merchants. New stores receive a default quality score to ensure they appear in search results.
