What is the DoorDash Pizza Program?

Get priority access to more earning opportunities when you verify having a pizza bag.

As a Dasher, we know you want to make the most of your earning time on the road as you provide great service. That’s why we’ve launched a program to enable priority access for pizza deliveries. When you verify that you dash with a pizza bag, you’ll automatically get prioritized to receive pizza offers so you can increase your earnings potential and ratings as you deliver a 5-star order (and hot pizza). 

To join, verify your pizza bag by taking a photo in the ‘Account Settings’ page of the Dasher app. You can also verify that you have a pizza bag when prompted to take a photo at some pizza restaurants.

Where can I get a pizza bag? You have options:

  • Order a new pizza bag from the DoorDash Store here for a fee.

  • Or, use your own. Already have a pizza bag? Feel free to use it! Just make sure it’s insulated and a standard size (usually around 18 inches wide, 18 inches long, and 5 inches deep).

Ready to get started?

  • Verify your pizza bag in the ‘Account Settings’ page of the Dasher app

    • Verify your pizza bag by going to the ‘Account Settings’ page in the Dasher app and choosing ‘Manage.’ The in-app flows will prompt you to take a photo of your pizza bag, which will be verified automatically.

      • If your pizza bag is unable to be verified, please try again and make sure that the photo is well lit and that the entire pizza bag is in the frame.

    • You can also use this page to track your equipment status, which allows you to see if your pizza bag is verified. A verified status means that you’ll be automatically prioritized for future pizza orders.

  • Verify your pizza bag on a dash

    • You can also verify your pizza bag on orders where you’re prompted to take a photo of your pizza bag, which is required for some pizza merchants.

    • However, if you’re currently unverified on the ‘Account Settings’ page, you won’t be prioritized for future pizza orders. We recommend getting verified so that you can increase your chances of receiving more pizza orders.

What if I stop receiving pizza orders

  • Pizza bag verification: It’s possible you stopped receiving pizza orders because we could not recognize your bag in your most recent pizza bag photos. An unverified photo on a dash will change your equipment status to unverified, which will prevent you from being prioritized for future pizza orders.

    • When asked to take a photo of your pizza bag on a dash, please make sure to capture the entire bag in the frame, ensure the photo is well-lit, and take the photo inside the pizza restaurant.

  • Account settings: Please review the “Ready to get started?” section above and check your bag equipment status in the “Account Settings” page of your app. If you need to re-verify, please follow the steps outlined above.

How come I’m not asked to take a picture of my bag on every pizza order?

  • Make it easier: We don’t want to ask you to take photos too often. If we’ve already verified you’ve got a bag on a prior delivery of a dash, we won’t ask you to take another photo until your next dash with a qualified pizza order.

  • Not all merchants require bag photos: While bag photos will become an increasingly common feature of DoorDash pizza deliveries, not all pizza merchants require this step. You may have some pizza deliveries where you won’t need to take a picture.
