Whenever you're dashing, we know it's important for you to maximize your earnings and minimize your idle time spent traveling from A to B. With the new Dash Along the Way feature, it's easier than ever to earn more as you travel.
Dash Along the Way helps you make the most of your time on the road by allowing you to deliver orders on your way to a destination. So, the next time you're headed to or from another zone, you can simply tap Dash Along the Way to deliver orders and earn money along your route.
If you find yourself traveling to and from a nearby zone, or are taken out of your initial starting area for a delivery, we’ve made it simple to continue to earn along the way. These features are designed to work seamlessly while dashing.
How it works:
When traveling to another zone
If you want to dash in a zone you aren’t currently in, select it on the map and tap Dash Along the Way, before you start dashing, to hold your spot.
We’ll look for orders along the way and as soon as you arrive.
If you are given an order along the way and accept the delivery, once you’ve completed the delivery you’ll continue on your route to dash in the zone selected.
When heading back to your starting point
If you are taken outside the zone that you started in to complete a delivery, start heading back to your starting point. You’ll automatically start seeing orders along your route back.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Where and when will I see these new features?
A: These new features are now incorporated into your dashing experience. When you want to dash in a nearby area, simply navigate to that area on the map in the Dasher app, and you’ll see the “Dash Along the Way” button. Simply tap “Dash Along the Way” before you start dashing, and receive orders in the direction you’re headed. We’ll automatically start showing orders along your route back if a delivery takes you outside of your zone. There is nothing you need to do to be eligible for these orders.
Q: How close does a dash zone need to be for me to be able to Dash Along the Way?
A: The zone needs to be within a 1-hour commute from your location at the time you’re looking to Dash Along the Way.
Q: How do you determine the ETA time and what happens if I don’t make it to the dash zone by that time?
A: We calculate the time you are expected to arrive in the zone you want to Dash in based on traffic conditions in the area. If you don’t make it to the zone by the ETA time, we’ll end your dash to make sure other Dashers can get on the road.
Q: When using Dash Along the Way, could a delivery take me in the opposite direction?
A: The feature is designed to automatically find deliveries that are close by and on the way to your selected destination to keep you traveling toward your starting zone and earning money along the way.
Q: If I choose to Dash Along the Way to my starting zone, do I have to accept all deliveries offered to me along the way?
A: No. You can accept or decline orders offered to you, as usual.
Q: How many orders will I see on the way to my destination?
A: We will continuously be looking for orders that take you towards your destination while you are on your way. Sometimes there may not be any that fit the criteria. Other times, you may receive multiple opportunities.
