Overview
SafeDash Location Sharing lets you share your location with trusted contacts, such as friends and family, for additional peace of mind while dashing. This feature is available in the Dasher app on both iOS and Android.

Q: How do I enable SafeDash Location Sharing?
A: You can enable Location Sharing from within the Dasher app by
Selecting Account
Going to Settings
Scrolling down to the Safety section
Tapping SafeDash Location Sharing
Toggling Turn on Location Sharing
You can also enable Location Sharing by
Clicking the shield icon in the upper right corner of the Dasher app.
Under the Share Location section, selecting Manage location sharing.

Q:How do I add trusted contacts?
A: You can share your location with your trusted contacts. To add trusted contacts
Click Add trusted contacts from the Location Sharing screen.
Select OK to allow access to your contacts.
Choose who you want to add as your trusted contact.
Choose when you want to share your location with this contact.
Note: Make sure your trusted contacts are opted into receiving texts from DoorDash.
Q: When can I share my location with my trusted contacts?
A: You can choose from several different times to share your location with your contacts in your Settings, and adjust anytime:
Every time you dash.
Only during certain hours.
Set it manually for a specific dash.
Q:How many trusted contacts can I share my location with?
A: You can share your location with up to 5 trusted contacts. You can add or remove contacts at any time in your Settings.
Q: How can I remove a trusted contact?
A: You can easily delete a trusted contact by:
Selecting the trusted contact you want to remove.
Clicking Remove Trusted Contact.
Confirm by hitting the Remove button.
Q: What do my trusted contacts need in order to view my location?
A: They will need a phone or computer with a web browser to view location sharing. We’ll send an authentication text to your contacts that only they can access your live location.
Q: Do trusted contacts have access to my location when I am not dashing?
A: No, your location is shared only when you’re dashing and when you select to share it.
Q: Why isn't my Trusted Contact receiving the text message?
A: Your Trusted Contact may have opted out of texts from DoorDash. Please ask the to text START to a number below to opt in:

Q: How do I stop receiving location sharing texts?
A: You can stop receiving location sharing texts by replying "STOP".
