How do I update my Dasher Profile/Account Information?

Please follow the instructions below to update your contact information:If you’re updating only your phone number:

For the Dasher app: If you’re on Android, please go to “Account Details”. If you’re on iOS, please visit your account details under the “Account” tab on the app, then tap the “Profile” tab. You will be able to update your phone number through this method once you’ve completed the 2 Factor Authentication verification. Please keep in mind that the verification process must be completed and cannot be bypassed for any reason.

For the Consumer app (iOS only): Download the DoorDash consumer app, log in using your Dasher account details, tap on the “Account” tab, and then tap on “Personal Information”. You will be able to update your phone number once you’ve completed the 2 Factor Authentication verification. Please keep in mind that the verification process cannot be bypassed for any reason.

For DoorDash.com: On your desktop or mobile browser, please visit DoorDash.com and log in using your Dasher email and password. Click on the three lines to your left-hand side and go to “Account”. You will be able to update your phone number once you’ve completed the 2 Factor Authentication verification. Please keep in mind that the verification process cannot be bypassed for any reason.

If you’re updating your email address: (Please note this update cannot be done through the Dasher app)

You will be able to update your email address and phone number once you’ve completed the 2 Factor Authentication verification. All of these methods will require you to go through a 2-step verification process which you’ll have to complete in order to finalize the updates. You will need to have access to your old phone number or email address. You will be sent a security code by text message, and you’ll complete the update by entering the security code in the correct field in the Dasher app or on the website.

If you are updating a new phone number and don’t have access to your old number, tap Get Help and select Send code to email to receive your 6-digit security code in the email address that is linked to your account. If you are adding a new email address and choose to receive the security code by email, note that the security code will be sent to the old email address.

If you’re updating only your driver license:

In order to update this on our end, your driver’s license must be updated in the Candidate portal if you have a new license and the report was done within the past 30 days. Please follow these instructions to update your driver’s license state or number:

  1. Log into the Candidate Portal and access your report.

  2. At the bottom of your report, click "Update Personal Information."

  3. Checkr will rerun the report and display it to you.

  4. Use the window that opens to provide your new license information.

If you’re changing your name:

For Dashers, we require your first and last name on your profile to be your legal name as shown on government documentation. We also offer a “preferred name” option for Dashers who would like merchants or customers to refer to them by another name. Your preferred name should reflect your everyday identity, and must not be inappropriate or offensive to other users. For example, we allow preferred names that are:

  • Common nicknames of your first, last, or middle name (e.g., "Chris" for "Christopher")

  • Initials: Dashers can go by two initials (e.g., "A.J.")

    • First initial + middle initial; or

    • First initial + last initial

  • Your middle name only

To update your preferred name in the Dasher app:

  1. Open the app and go to Account.

  2. Select Profile.

  3. Update your preferred name and Save.

For legal name updates, please contact Support to complete the verification process.
