Consumers who sign up for the SNAP/EBT DashPass Plan will receive DashPass at a discounted charge of $4.99 a month instead of $9.99 a month for one year.
Can I sign up for the SNAP/EBT DashPass Plan after I am already enrolled in a regular DashPass Plan?
Yes. We are currently working on a solution to enable you to switch from a standard DashPass Plan to a SNAP/EBT DashPass Plan in the DoorDash app. In the meantime, you can cancel your current subscription and will then be able to enroll in the SNAP/EBT DashPass plan. The easiest way to do this is to finish your current DashPass payment cycle then cancel your subscription prior to the next payment cycle. You will then be able to enroll in a SNAP/EBT DashPass Plan at the SNAP/EBT Plan price.
Not sure when your payment cycle ends? Follow these steps in your DoorDash app to see when your current payment cycle concludes: (example from student plan)
In the DoorDash app, click account in the bottom right corner.
Click Manage DashPass.
Under Payment Details you will find the date of your next subscription charge, or when your next payment cycle begins. (This is the date before which you will want to cancel your current subscription.)
Who is eligible for a SNAP/EBT DashPass Plan?
The SNAP/EBT DashPass Plan is for US customers who have placed an order using a SNAP/EBT card on DoorDash in the last 6 months.
Can I switch my SNAP/EBT DashPass Plan to a different DoorDash account?
Unfortunately, you cannot switch to a different account but you can update your delivery address, payment method and other personal information on that DoorDash account.
What makes an order eligible for SNAP/EBT?
Item eligibility is determined by the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and follows the same guidelines as found in-store. A list of these eligible food categories can be found on the USDA website. Customers can find SNAP-eligible items on DoorDash using the SNAP filter at the top of each eligible store’s page or by looking for the SNAP icon on each item’s info page.
What makes an order eligible for DashPass benefits?
Things to check before placing an order:
Check the DoorDash app or Doordash.com for stores near you that have the green DashPass symbol.
Make sure your order meets the subtotal minimum requirement.
DashPass benefits should immediately apply if the above criteria are met.
Mobile users:
To sign up for the SNAP / EBT DashPass plan on the DoorDash app follow these steps:
Open your DoorDash app
Tap the “Me” tab at the bottom of the screen
Tap "Get $0 delivery fees with DashPass"
Select “SNAP / EBT monthly plan”
Web users:
To sign up for the SNAP /EBT DashPass on the DoorDash website follow these steps:
Log in to your account on the DoorDash website
Select "Account" in the bottom left corner
Tap "Get $0 delivery fees"
Select “SNAP / EBT monthly plan”
