What is AutoCheckout?

Autocheckout is a new feature being added to Group Orders, which will allow admins to set all of their order and checkout details ahead of time, give their employees a deadline to add their items, and then will automatically check out the order for ASAP delivery!

How do I Use the Group Order Autocheckout feature?

You can now utilize the Autocheckout feature by starting a new Group Order, whether it’s directly from the Mx store page or by utilizing the Group Order Calendar in your Admin Portal!

From the Merchant Storepage, click ‘Group Order’ to start a new cart.

From the Start Group Order pop-up, you can then edit your per-person budget by clicking the first option.

This will allow you to determine who pays for the order, and the per-person budget. Click ‘Save’ to save your settings.

Back on the Start Group Order window, the next setting will determine your checkout deadline – the deadline for making any changes or additions to the cart. Your cart will be locked.

Here, you have the option to choose the preferred Date and Time for your Delivery. Save, and you will then unlock an additional option to set your Order Deadline.

Here, you have the option to choose the Date and Time for your checkout deadline. Again, this will be the deadline for employees to add any items to the cart before checkout, but will also mean the cart is locked to any edits.

This is also where you can decide whether you want to check out the cart manually, or whether you want to use Autocheckout! Click ‘Automatically’ at the bottom of the window, and click Save to continue.

Once you’ve selected Autocheckout (‘Automatically’) in the Order Deadline page, you will be brought to a checkout page to finalize the details of your order.

Under the ‘Group Order Details’ window, you will need to confirm the following details to finalize your order:

  • Delivery Address

  • Delivery Instructions

  • Delivery Contact Phone #

  • Dasher Tip

  • Payment Method

  • Company Payment (Optional)

You should see a final pop-up with the invite link for your Group Order, which you can then copy and send to your team, as always!

When you’re done, you should now see an additional bar at the top of the Mx store page, with options to view, edit, and invite others to the Group Order.

You’re all set!

You can edit the order and invite users until your checkout deadline, at which point the cart, its details and any items added will be locked.

The order will checkout at your selected ‘Order Deadline’ date and time, for ASAP delivery.

Group Order Calendar (Admin Portal)

From the Admin Portal’s Group Order Calendar, you can set your Group Orders to Autocheckout by clicking the thumbnail in your calendar.

This will bring you to the Merchant Storepage, where you can then click ‘View Group Order’ to edit the details.

From here, click the tab that says ‘No order deadline’ – this determines when the deadline is for employees to add items to the order.

Select the Date and Time you would like the order to be checked out. All orders will be set for ASAP delivery.

Select ‘Automatically’ at the bottom of this window, then click ‘Confirm Group Order Details’.

The final step for Autocheckout is to confirm your Checkout details. Under the ‘Group Order Details’ window, you will need to confirm the following details to finalize your order:

  • Delivery Address

  • Delivery Instructions

  • Delivery Contact Phone #

  • Dasher Tip

  • Payment Method

  • Company Payment (Optional)


You’re all set!

You can edit the order and invite users until your checkout deadline, at which point the cart, its details and any items added will be locked.

The order will checkout at your selected ‘Order Deadline’ date and time, for ASAP delivery.

Editing the Group Order

If you need to edit the details of your Group Order, go to the Group Order link and click ‘View Group Order’ from the top banner.

From there, you can edit any of the following details from the sidebar:

  • Checkout Deadline (deadline for employees to add items to the order)

  • Checkout Details (address, instructions, payment method, etc.)

NOTE: You cannot edit the payment option (admin pays vs everyone pays separate) or the per-person budget. If you need to update this, you will need to delete the cart and start a new one.

Notifications

Whether you’re on desktop browser or mobile, the Group Order Autocheckout update is built to keep you updated!

Reminders

As creator of the cart, you’ll receive email and/or text notification reminders both 30 and 10 minutes before checkout.

If you are a participant of the cart, and have not added any items to the cart, you will also receive reminder notifications to add your items before the deadline.

Autocheckout Failure

If your Group Order fails to autocheckout for any reason, you will be notified immediately via either email or phone notification. This will include the reason for cart failure, so you can edit your cart and make the required adjustments.
