What is the Max x DashPass offer?
Eligible DashPass Annual Plan members in the U.S. (including Puerto Rico) can get access to a Max With Ads subscription, included as part of your DashPass Annual Plan subscription at no additional cost.
If you prefer an ad-free experience, you can upgrade to the Max Ad-Free subscription for an additional monthly fee at a discounted rate (compared to the standard subscription fee for Max Ad-Free). Both Max With Ads and Max Ad-Free are collectively referred to as “Max.”

How do I sign up for the Max subscription through DashPass?
The Max With Ads subscription is currently available for DashPass Annual Plan members only.
Only the primary DashPass account holder is eligible for the Max With Ads subscription or can upgrade to the Max Ad-Free subscription through their DashPass membership.

Enrolled to Student Plan or other discounted monthly plans | Members need to cancel their current DashPass plan in the “Manage DashPass” page in your DoorDash account, then enroll in DashPass Annual Plan via this link. Members can cancel their plan themselves via Manage DashPass, but they will stay on the plan until their end date and will not be able to transition plans until after their current plan ends. Alternatively, to cancel your DashPass plan immediately, members can contact DoorDash Support here. |
Enrolled to other DashPass Partnerships(Chase Freedom, Chase Slate, Chase Cobrand, Chegg, Roku) | Members need to contact DoorDash Support to request to cancel their current plans immediately if they want to sign up for Max through DashPass Annual Plan. If a member cancels themselves, they will stay on the plan until their end date and will not be able to transition plans until after their current plan ends. How do I upgrade my Max With Ads subscription to the Max Ad-Free subscription?
To upgrade to the Max Ad-Free subscription :
Open the DoorDash app or visit doordash.com.
Navigate to your “Manage Max Subscription” Page within Manage DashPass or by clicking here.
Tap on “Upgrade to Max Ad-Free” to switch to the Max Ad-Free version for an additional monthly fee.
Tap “Confirm Payment” to agree to the Max Ad-Free terms and conditions, agree to the automatically recurring monthly charge, and to complete the upgrade.
If you're an eligible DashPass member and you choose to upgrade your Max With Ads subscription to the Max Ad-Free subscription, you will be charged an additional monthly fee at the then-current price (as disclosed at sign-up, plus applicable taxes) (now $10.99/mo., plus applicable taxes) on a recurring basis until you cancel. The subscription will be billed directly by DoorDash.
How do I cancel my Max Ad-Free subscription?
Eligible members can cancel their Max Ad-Free Upgrade subscription at any time through the “Manage DashPass” section in your DoorDash account.
Upon cancellation:
You will retain access to the Max Ad-Free Upgrade subscription until the end of your current billing cycle.
After your Max Ad-Free subscription ends, you will continue to enjoy the Max With Ads as long as your DashPass Annual Plan subscription is active.
Please note that Max Ad-Free Upgrade subscription fees are non-refundable except as otherwise stated in the terms.
For Eligible members with an existing Max subscription through a third-party subscription provider, if you complete your purchase of the Max Ad-Free plan via DoorDash, this new subscription will not automatically replace your existing Max subscription. If you do not want multiple subscriptions, you can select a new plan or manage your account at the place of your original Max purchase.
How do I cancel my Max With Ads subscription?
Eligible members can cancel their Max With Ads Upgrade subscription at any time through the “Manage DashPass” section in your DoorDash account.
How do I fix technical issues with streaming in my Max app?
For issues with Max streaming, contact the Max Help Center.
What if I activated my Max Subscription as an eligible DashPass member, but now my Max app is asking me to pay for my subscription?
Restart your Max app, and log out of your Max app and login again. This should resolve the issue. If the issue persists, contact DoorDash Support here.
What happens if I cancel my DashPass?
If you cancel your DashPass Annual Plan subscription, your Max With Ads Subscription or Max Ad-Free Max Upgrade Subscription will terminate when your DashPass Annual Plan subscription expires (typically at the end of your current DashPass billing cycle). You will receive a prorated refund for any remaining, unused time in your Max Ad-Free Upgrade Subscription that extends beyond the expiration of your DashPass benefits. See questions 4 and 5 for details on cancellation of your Max subscription.
Why do I see an additional charge from DoorDash DashPass?
If you are subscribed to Max Ad-Free through DashPass Annual Plan, you will see a monthly charge for the Max Ad-Free subscription from DoorDash in addition to your DashPass Annual Plan annual charge.
