Retail Returns Policy
What’s DoorDash’s return policy?
When you make a return through DoorDash, it follows the return policy of the store where your purchase was made. Once your return request is submitted, we’ll review it in line with the store’s policy and process it at our discretion.
If your return is approved, your refund may be issued in one of the following ways:
Back to your original form of payment
As a DoorDash credit
As store credit (depending on the store’s policy)
Refunds to your original payment method typically take up to 4 business days to appear.
What do I need for a refund to my original payment method?
To receive a refund to your original form of payment, you must complete all of the following steps:
You must start the return through the DoorDash app
You must return the item(s) in-store
You must upload the return receipt in the DoorDash app
How do I start a return?
Go to your order history by opening the Me Tab in the app and tapping the Orders icon.
Select the order with the item(s) you’d like to return and tap Start a return.
Choose the item(s) you want to return and select a reason.
Head to the Merchant’s store of your choice.
At checkout (or the store’s returns area), tell the associate you’re making a DoorDash return and show your return barcode in the app.
After the associate processes the return, take a photo of the return receipt and upload it to the DoorDash app.
DoorDash will review your return and issue a refund to your original payment method within about 4 business days (timing may vary by bank).

Return window: 60 days from purchase

Exceptions:
Each Ace Hardware store has its own customer service and return policies, so please check with your local store for details. DoorDash purchases must be returned to the Ace retail location listed on your receipt. For assistance with order-related issues, please reach out to DoorDash Customer Support.
Trading cards: Final sale, no returns or exchanges.
Outdoor Power Equipment & Grills/Smokers: Returnable within 30 days with receipt if unused, uninstalled, and in original packaging. Not returnable once fuel or oil has been added (contact manufacturer/service center for issues).
Hazardous materials: Items containing flammable liquids or gases cannot be returned.
Paint: Returns may be limited if fraud/abuse is suspected. Tinted paint is a final sale (cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged due to color variations).
ALDI (Australia)
Return window: 60 days
Things to bring: DoorDash App with photo of receipt
Refund info: In-store refund to card, and upon validation of the returns receipt in the app, DoorDash refund for inflation and tax on inflation
Exceptions:
Should you need to return a fuel-powered product to ALDI for a refund or exchange, we kindly ask that you safely and responsibly remove all combustible liquids (e.g., petrol, motor oil, etc.) added after purchase, prior to returning to the store. Some Special Buys come with a manufacturer’s warranty (e.g., 1 or 2 years). If your product is covered by a manufacturer’s warranty, you will find all the details you need within the information plate on the back of your product.
If during the period of the warranty, one of our high-quality products should fail to be of an acceptable quality, please do not hesitate to contact the manufacturer’s helpline or your local ALDI store for assistance. Please note that any manufacturer’s warranty and ALDI’s change of mind policy are in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
American Eagle
This merchant does not offer returns for items purchased on DoorDash. Exchanges can be made in-store only.

Return window: 90 days from purchase

Shrink-wrapped or sealed product that has been opened and/or removed from original packaging may not be returned, unless it is defective, in which case it can be exchanged only for the same product.
Magazines, newspapers, used books and shipping fees are not returnable or exchangeable.
Digital content, including eBooks, audiobooks, digital magazines and newspapers, Access Codes, gift cards, and shrink-wrapped items that have been opened, are not returnable.
Bulk orders of 50 or more copies are non-returnable.
