Free Student DashPass Terms and Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Offer Terms”) apply to the Free Student DashPass promotion (the “Offer”). The Offer is provided by DoorDash, Inc. and/or its affiliates (“DoorDash,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By attempting to redeem or redeeming the Offer, you agree to these Offer Terms and DoorDash Terms of Service, (collectively, the “DoorDash Terms”). If there is a conflict between these Offer Terms and the DoorDash Terms, these Offer Terms control only for the limited purpose of the Offer.

Free Student DashPass - If you are eligible and successfully verify your student status at a participating university and / or college, the Offer provides a $0 Student DashPass membership (“Free Student DashPass”) so long as your student status remains verified through SheerID, DoorDash’s verification partner.

Free Student DashPass includes the same core benefits as Student DashPass, such as $0 delivery fees and reduced service fees on eligible orders from eligible DashPass merchants, subject to minimum subtotal requirements and other limitations shown in the DoorDash app. Fees (including service fees), taxes, and gratuity still apply, and benefits apply only on eligible orders.

Eligibility - The Offer is available for a limited time and only at select participating universities and / or colleges as determined by DoorDash in its sole discretion. To be eligible, you must have a DoorDash account in good standing and you must be actively enrolled as a student at one of the following participating universities: Central Michigan University; East Carolina University; Grand Valley State University; Pennsylvania State University (University Park); University of Alabama; or University of Akron (Akron). You must also successfully verify your student enrollment through SheerID.

If you do not attend one of the participating universities listed above, if your enrollment cannot be verified by SheerID, or if DoorDash determines (in its discretion) that you do not meet the eligibility requirements or have attempted to misuse the Offer, you are not eligible to receive or continue to receive Free Student DashPass.

The Offer will only appear in the DoorDash app when your app location is set to your school address and you are located near an eligible participating campus, and DoorDash may restrict visibility/redemption based on location and other eligibility signals.

DoorDash may use reasonable methods to review, determine and enforce eligibility and prevent fraud or abuse. DoorDash reserves the right, in its sole discretion to determine eligibility, to deny redemption, and/or to revoke Free Student DashPass if we believe the Offer is being used in error, fraudulently, abusively, or in violation of these Offer Terms or the DoorDash Terms.

Verification - DoorDash partners with SheerID to confirm enrollment. During sign-up, SheerID may request information such as (but not limited to) your name, date of birth, school, and student (.edu) email address for the purpose of verifying your enrollment. By participating in the Offer you expressly consent to DoorDash collecting the personal information you provide (and any information SheerID collects from you during verification) and disclosing it to SheerID to verify your enrollment and to administer, support, and protect this Offer (including troubleshooting, fraud prevention, and compliance), and you acknowledge that SheerID will use and store that information to provide verification services.

If automatic verification fails, SheerID may request that you upload a school-issued document (for example, a transcript, class schedule, or tuition receipt) for the purpose of manual verification. Verification outcomes, review times, and documentation requirements are determined by SheerID and DoorDash at their discretion.

You are responsible for providing accurate information and maintaining access to the email address on your DoorDash account. If DoorDash and/or SheerID cannot verify, re-verify, or continue to verify your student status at any time (including because your information changes, documents are insufficient, verification expires, or verification cannot be completed), you may lose Free Student DashPass and your subscription will transition as described below.

Automatic paid plan conversion - Your Free Student DashPass will only be available as long as SheerID verifies your student status at a participating university / college. If SheerID can no longer confirm your status as an active student as a participating university or college, or if your student status becomes unverified or can no longer be verified for any reason, your membership will automatically transition from Free Student DashPass to a paid DashPass monthly plan at $9.99 per month plus applicable taxes (the “Paid Plan”).

DoorDash will send you an email notice approximately 30 days before the transition to the Paid Plan, and you can cancel anytime before the transition date to avoid being charged if you do not want to continue. Cancellation instructions can be found here. You may cancel DashPass at any time in accordance with the DoorDash Terms.

Unless you cancel before the transition takes effect, you authorize DoorDash to charge $9.99/month plus applicable taxes on a recurring basis to any payment method we have on file for your DoorDash account, until you cancel.

General - Each eligible student may have Free Student DashPass on only one DoorDash account, and you may not redeem or use Free Student DashPass on more than one account. Once verified, Free Student DashPass cannot be transferred to another DoorDash account.

If you currently have a paid DashPass membership, you may need to cancel your existing plan before you can activate Free Student DashPass, and you may have to wait until your paid billing cycle ends to redeem the Offer.

Offer changes - DoorDash may modify, suspend, or end the Offer (including eligibility requirements, participating schools/locations, verification requirements, and the availability of Free Student DashPass) at any time, in whole or in part, to the extent permitted by law. The Offer is void where prohibited. If the Offer is ended or modified, you may lose access to Free Student DashPass and, depending on the circumstances, your membership may (if permitted and with any notice required by law) transition to a paid DashPass plan at the then-current rate or be canceled; you remain responsible for any charges you authorize and any amounts otherwise owed under the DoorDash Terms.
