Do I have to apply to join the DoorDash for Creators program?

  • Yes, participation in the program is subject to approval at DoorDash’s sole discretion. We review applications carefully to maintain program quality. DoorDash may, at its discretion, decline or remove applicants who do not meet our eligibility criteria, and in some cases, may limit future applications to keep the program fair and secure.

Does it cost anything to become a DoorDash Creator?

  • No, the program is completely free to apply and participate in. However, only eligible creators will be accepted into the program based on our current criteria. If you’re not accepted right away, don’t worry; you may become eligible in the future as the program expands.

What are the benefits of participating in the DoorDash for Creators program?

  • Creators get paid for their content and gain access to a first-of-its-kind food content program. You'll reach new audiences through our platform, grow your brand, and spotlight local food spots with real impact. Plus, you’ll be part of a supportive, curated creator community.

Can I participate if I live outside of the United States?

  • Currently, DoorDash for Creators is open only to creators based in the United States. We’re not yet able to support participation from creators in U.S. territories — including Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, and the U.S. Virgin Islands — due to tax and compliance limitations. We hope to expand eligibility in the future as the program grows.

What kind of videos is DoorDash looking for?

We are looking for:

  • Short, engaging videos (10–30 seconds) that feature one local restaurant per video. Videos featuring national chains or franchises will not be accepted.

  • Focus on small or medium-sized, locally owned spots that reflect the character of your neighborhood.

  • Highlight the food, not the ambiance. Quick shots of the space are great for context, but the food should be the star of your video. The best videos showcase 2-4 dishes to give viewers a good feel for the restaurant’s menu, including at least one entrée when possible. Videos that focus on just one small item may not be accepted.

  • Be honest and respectful in your review; we want authentic experiences, not just hype.

  • Use voiceover or royalty-free music only – videos with copyrighted music will be rejected.

  • All videos must follow our Content Guidelines to be approved for the program.

What kind of music should I use?

  • DoorDash videos must use royalty-free music only. Any video that includes copyrighted music will be rejected. We encourage adding sound to your videos — just make sure the music is unlicensed. When in doubt, a voiceover is always a great option instead.

Where do I submit my videos for review?

  • Submit your finalized video through your profile in the DoorDash app. Please upload your video only once. Duplicate submissions of the same video can lead to removal from the program. If you’re unsure whether your upload went through, check your profile for confirmation before trying again. Once submitted, videos can’t be edited or replaced, so make sure everything is final before uploading.

I don’t see the video upload feature in my profile. What should I do?

  • Make sure you’re logged in to the same DoorDash account you used to apply for the program. You would have signed in to DoorDash when you submitted your application — that account is your creator account, and all creator-specific access is linked to it. If you’re still not seeing the upload feature after checking, please reach out to us at for help.

Is there a list of restaurants I should order from?

  • Not yet — we’re currently working on creating a list of featured restaurants and will share it with creators soon. In the meantime, please order from locally owned restaurants in your neighborhood, not large chain or enterprise restaurants. Videos featuring chain restaurants won’t be accepted, since the goal of the program is to highlight local favorites in your community.

Where can I see my videos after I submit them?

  • After your videos are submitted, they will be reviewed by our team. If approved, you’ll see your video in your profile (https://www.doordash.com/consumer/profile/)

  • You can access your profile from the Me Tab by tapping the “Profile” button.

  • Your video might show up on the DoorDash homepage or in other parts of the app, depending on your location. Please note: video features are currently in beta, so they may not be visible to all users just yet.

I submitted a video but don’t see it on my profile.

  • If you’ve submitted a video, we’ve received it and it’s currently under review. Reviews typically take 4–5 business days. If your video is accepted, it will appear on your profile once approved. Videos that aren’t accepted won’t appear on your profile.

Can I post the videos I make to my own social media account?

  • Yes! While it’s not required, you’re welcome to share the videos you’ve created in partnership with DoorDash on your personal social media accounts. Just make sure to follow all requirements, especially about how to disclose your partnership with DoorDash, in Section 3 of the DoorDash for Creators Agreement.

Why wasn’t my video accepted by the DoorDash team?

There are a few common reasons videos may not be approved:

  • Food isn’t the main focus – The strongest videos clearly showcase the meal. While a bit of personality or restaurant context is okay, most of the video should highlight the food itself (close-ups, details, and different angles) so viewers know what they’re ordering.

  • Ineligible restaurant – At this time, we do not accept videos that feature national chain or franchised restaurants or restaurants not available on the DoorDash platform. If your video features one of these restaurants, it can’t be approved.

  • Visual quality – Videos may not be accepted if they’re blurry, zoom in too closely on the food, feel choppy or rushed, or don’t make the dishes look appetizing. Aim for clear, well-lit shots that showcase the food in the best possible way.

  • Content relevance – All videos are reviewed for safety and relevance. If your video isn’t related to DoorDash or doesn’t meet platform standards, it may be rejected.
