1. What is the Chegg x DashPass Partnership?

  • Chegg and DoorDash are partnering up to offer Chegg Study subscribers access to a 3-month free trial of the DashPass Student membership.  At the end of your free trial, you will automatically be enrolled in a monthly paid DashPass Student membership and charged $4.99 per month using a payment method on file in your account until you cancel your DashPass Student membership. 

2. What DashPass benefits do I get as a Chegg Study subscriber?

  • Chegg Study subscribers are eligible for all DashPass Student benefits on both DoorDash and Caviar when they activate a 3-month trial of the DashPass Student membership.  In order to activate this benefit, you can access via this link.  You must be logged into your Chegg account to activate.  At the end of your free trial, you will automatically be enrolled in a monthly paid DashPass Student membership and charged $4.99 per month using a payment method on file in your account until you cancel your DashPass Student membership.  This offer is only eligible for customers who are at least 18 years old, reside in the U.S., and are enrolled in an accredited college or university in the U.S.  You may be required to provide documentation of your enrollment so that DoorDash may verify eligibility. 

3. Will my DashPass benefits apply to both Caviar and DoorDash?

  • Yes! Please use the same login information for both Caviar and DoorDash. Your DashPass Student benefits will automatically be available on both platforms.

4. What makes an order eligible for DashPass benefits?

  • Things to check before placing an order:

  1. Check the DoorDash app or Doordash.com for merchants near you that have the green DashPass symbol.

  2. Enjoy a $0 delivery fee and reduced services fees on the eligible restaurant, grocery, and convenience orders that meet the subtotal minimum requirement for that store, as detailed in the app.

  3. A $0 delivery fee and reduced service fees should apply to your order if the above criteria are met. 

5. Am I eligible for the Chegg x DashPass offer?

  • To be eligible for this offer, Chegg Study subscribers must activate their 3 month free benefit before 8/1/2023 and must not have had a DashPass membership (whether free or paid) in the past 6 months. The offer is only eligible for customers who are at least 18 years old, reside in the U.S., and are enrolled in an accredited college or university in the U.S.  You may be required to provide documentation of your enrollment so that DoorDash may verify eligibility.

6. Why don’t I see the Chegg offer in the DoorDash or Caviar mobile apps?

  • This is a special offer for Chegg Study subscribers, and is only available through Chegg.  In order to activate this benefit, you can access via this link.  You must be logged into your Chegg account to activate.

7. What happens at the end of my 3 month DashPass Student trial?

  • At the end of your 3-month DashPass Student trial, you will automatically be enrolled in a monthly paid DashPass Student membership and charged $4.99 per month using a payment method on file in your account until you cancel your DashPass Student membership. 8. How is the expiration date of my free DashPass Student trial determined?

  • The free 3-month DashPass Student trial period for the Chegg Study subscriber will begin and end based on when the DashPass Student membership is activated. You will then be automatically enrolled into a monthly paid DashPass Student membership and charged $4.99 per month using a payment method on file in your account until you cancel your DashPass Student membership.  

9. What happens if I cancel my DashPass Student membership part way through my free trial? Can I start over again?

  • No, once you cancel your free trial, you forfeit the remaining portion of your 3-month free DashPass Student trial. 

10. I am a Chegg subscriber but cannot activate my free 3-month DashPass Student trial. What do I do?
