Customers that have Expensed Meals may now use their budgets to pay for Group Orders while in office.
Your admin creates a budget (See our Expensed Meals Budget Guide,) then assigns a cart creator. The cart creator then creates a Group Order with a sharable link that will be sent to participants, and then places the order using their team's Expensed Meals Budget.
What are the Benefits?
Cost Savings
Individual ordering reflects a higher cost for both the employee and the employer (due to multiple fees, tips, etc.) Group Ordering offers a single cart including tips, delivery fees and, if applicable, DashPass.
Team Eats Together
Many companies require employees to work in the office. This feature will allow teams to have meals delivered at the same time, and gives your team more opportunities for bonding.
Reduce Dasher Traffic
Group Ordering offers one singular order which is assigned to one single Dasher.
Time Savings
This feature allows employees to pick what they want under one budget, and for the order to be delivered at a single scheduled time for your team's convenience.

How It Works
Cart Creator Experience
How to Create a Budget for GO
1. Once an Expensed Meals Budget is established, the cart creator will navigate to the restaurants page as usual and select Group Order.
2. The Creator will choose how they’d like to pay
3. Either they can pay for the order themselves, or they can let everyone pay for themself using a payment method of their choice.
4. The Creator will then send out the Group Order link by selecting Invite.

How to Check Out a GO with a Budget

Participant’s Experience
1. Participants will choose their items as usual.
2. Choose the tip amount and payment method for any Group Order overages.
3. If the Creator chooses the ‘You pay for everyone’ option, the participants order will save and the Creator will be able to checkout for the Group.

FAQ
Q: Can you use multiple budgets for one Group Order?
A: No, budgets function the same way for Group Orders that they do for Expensed Meals -- you can only use one at a time.
Q: How are Group Order overages handled?
A: Any overages will be charged to whichever on-file payment method the user chooses.
Q: Do I have to be an admin to create a cart?
A: No, anyone can create the Group Order cart.
