Q: Can I set a budget limit on Group Ordering?
A: Yes, the admin creating the group order can set a per-person budget limit. You can choose from preset amounts or set a custom limit. The limit will cap participants at this selected amount.

Q: Can I edit my Group Order once it’s created?
A: Once a Group Order link is created, you cannot edit it. To make changes, cancel the link and create a new one. Participants will be notified once a link has been canceled.

Q: Do cart participants get order notifications?
A: Participants receive notifications once an order is placed, including email and text alerts (if they have opted in.) If a participant used Cart Topper, they will also receive an email receipt of the charges to their card.
Q: Who's notified when the Dasher is approaching?
A: All participants will be notified if they opted to receive notifications. The creator of the cart may receive a call from the Dasher, depending on the contact information.
Q: How will I know when my order arrives?
A: Participants will receive text or app notifications when the order has arrived.
Q: Can I checkout for an absent admin?
A: Only the admin who created the cart can checkout.
Q: How to start a Group Order as non-admin?
A: Create a Group Order through the existing Merchant Storefront. Calendar View is admin-only.
Q: When can employees join a Group Order?
A: Participants can join within 24 hours of the desired Delivery Time until the cart is Checked Out.
Q: How to share my Group Order with others?
A: Once you’ve selected the per-person limit and clicked the Start Group Order button, you’ll get a unique link to share. This link allows others to add their items. There’s also an Invite button for easy sharing.


Q: How do I Cancel an order?
A: Click 'Help' on the Order Tracking, then ‘Cancel Order’.


Q: How do I view my order receipt?
A: After delivery, admins can view receipts by refreshing the Calendar View page and clicking 'View Receipt.'

Participants can also view receipts for any Group Order carts they were a part of, by checking their Orders tab on the DoorDash homepage.
Q: Can I order alcohol using split-billing?
A: No, alcohol cannot be added to a split billing order.
Q: Why are there different menus and times for the same restaurant?
A: Some restaurants have different menus for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Select your desired menu before creating a Group Order.

Q: Who can edit the Calendar page?
A: Only admins can edit the Calendar View page.
Q: Can I edit an address in our Group Order portal?
A: No, you will need to delete the address and add it as a new one.
Q: How do I delete a selected address?
A: Select a different address, then press the 'X' next to the address you want to delete.
Q: How do I view past orders?
A: You can view your order history / receipts by clicking the Orders button on your Doordash homepage.
Q: Who can access the Share Meal Calendar link?
A: Anyone with the link can access it, regardless of login.

Payment FAQ
Q: Can I edit the budget or split it after starting?
A: To edit the budget, please Delete the cart and start a new one.
Q: How will fees/tips be split?
A: The Delivery fee will be evenly split among all participants. Service fees will be split proportionally to the cost of each order. The Dasher tip is applied per participant.
Q: Can I pay with Paypal/Venmo/Apple Pay?
A: No, the ability to pay via 3rd party platforms is currently unavailable.
Q: Can the cart creator see a participant's tips?
A: No, participant tips are private.
Q: What happens if a participant's payment information isn't verified, or a participant hasn't paid before the creator tries to check out?
A: Before checkout, the cart creator is prompted via pop-up to either send a reminder to those participants, or drop them from the cart. The participant will be notified when their order is dropped.

Q: How do promo codes work for Split Billing orders?
A: Only the cart creator can apply promo codes, which will apply proportionally among all participants (i.e. if the creator applies a 10% off promo to the entire group order, each participant will receive 10% off their order total.)
*Note that certain promos may not be valid for Group Orders.
Q: Can anyone in a Split Billing order use their DoorDash credits?
A: No, only the cart creator can apply DoorDash credits.
