Why haven’t my photos been reviewed yet?

The first question you’ll need to answer is: Are the photos that I uploaded linked to my menu?

Re-uploading unlinked, un-reviewed, or rejected photos will create duplicates in the system and cause rejections and/or delays.

Linked:

  • Any photos that are linked that have not been approved yet will be reviewed by our team. If you have waited more than 72 hours and your photos have still not been reviewed, please submit a Photos Support request.

Not Linked:

  • Only photos that are linked will be sent to our team to review. If your photos haven’t been reviewed, please make sure they are linked to one of your items on your active menus. Once you have confirmed that the photos are linked to their proper items, please submit a Photos Support request.

Can I use my UberEats/Postmates/SkipTheDishes Photos?

Just because your photos were approved on another third party delivery platform DOES NOT mean that they will be approved on DoorDash.

Unfortunately, we are unable to download images from other 3rd party websites due to a number of issues.

  1. Copyright: While these may be your own photos, we are unable to download images directly from any other websites since we do not know who owns the rights to the photos. 

  2. Photo Size: All other major 3rd party delivery platforms use much different formatting requirements for their images. 

    • When we download the images from these websites, it is impossible for us to download them in a high enough quality to use on DoorDash.

  3. Approval process: We have a strict photo approval process with much higher standards than our competitors.

    • This means that just because a photo was approved on one of their websites, it does not necessarily mean it will be approved on DoorDash

Can I use my online ordering/POS photos?

While we have begun integrating the POS Integrated Menu Images process, please note that it has not been rolled out to all POS Providers just yet.

Please confirm with your Account Manager if your POS Provider is able to integrate images from your POS System to your DoorDash menu!

Why did my menu photos disappear?

If you recently went through a menu update, had a new menu created, or your POS is integrated into DoorDash and your images are no longer appearing on your menu,

the photos are not gone!

They just need to be relinked to your menu. You can either:

  1. Relink the photos yourself using the Merchant Portal

  2. Submit a Request for us to relink your photos

If you did not recently go through a menu update,

it’s possible that the images have not been approved yet.

Any photos that are linked that have not been approved yet will be reviewed by our team. If you have waited more than 72 hours and your photos have still not been reviewed, please submit a Photos Support request.

Can I add a main photo for my restaurant in the search results?

The

carousel/main/listing photo

appears on the main page/search page/promo sections of the site/app. 

This photo is chosen automatically based on which approved item photos are linked to your menu and of those photos, which of the items is most popular based on customer purchase. 

If you wish to override this process and choose a photo manually with either a specific item photo or a hero/header photo, please submit a Photos Support request.

Please note, after linking your photos, it may take some time for your photos to start appearing on the main DoorDash page.

Can I add a header photo to my menu?

The

header photo

is the image that appears across the top of your DoorDash Menu.

In order to update your header photo, you’ll need to submit a Photos Support Case. You will also need to have a logo on file, otherwise the header photo will not show up

Updating the header photo will change that image for all stores that exist under the Business ID, so if you’re not sure if that’s something you want to update (say, for example, you are a franchisee and there are other independent franchisees’ locations under the same ID) please check with your DoorDash Photos rep or Account Owner and they can help determine the best way to go about this.

Adding your store

logo

is a great way to get your brand identity in front of paying customers. Updating this will change the logo for

all stores

under your Business ID, so check with your rep if there are possibly other locations that are independent of you that might not want their logo updated.

We can edit your logo to fit our specifications, so the only thing you need to do is send us a JPEG or PNG copy of your store’s logo, preferably on a plain or transparent background (although this is not a requirement).
