How to appeal Dasher account deactivations
Most account deactivations can be appealed directly in the Dasher app. For deactivations that can't be appealed in-app, follow the instructions in your deactivation email to submit an appeal form.
If your Dasher account is deactivated, you’ll receive an email with the reason for the deactivation and instructions for the appeal method that applies to you.
You can appeal your deactivation for up to one year** after the deactivation date. See below for more details about both appeal processes.
**If you’re a Seattle Dasher, you must submit your appeal within 90 days of your deactivation

In-App Appeal and How it works:
How to tell if you can appeal directly in the Dasher App. If you are required to appeal your account deactivation directly in the app, this will be indicated in the deactivation email you receive. The email will state “Can I appeal my deactivation? You can appeal your deactivation in the Dasher app."

Starting an in-app appeal To begin an account deactivation appeal in-app (if applicable), first log into your Dasher account. You will see a screen similar to the one below. Tap the ”‘Start appeal” button to begin your appeal.

Submitting an in-app appeal. After you tap the “Start appeal” button (image above), you will be taken to a screen where you can provide details about why you believe your dasher account should be reactivated (see image below). Once you have provided any information you wish to be considered for your appeal, tap the “Submit appeal” button. Be sure to fill out the “Add details” section before tapping the “Submit appeal” button, as you will not be able to do so once your appeal is submitted.

In-App appeal status updates. After submitting an appeal, you will receive live updates directly in the Dasher app, including confirmation that your appeal was received, an estimate of when you can expect a resolution, and the status of the appeal. Any time you open the Dasher app while your appeal is being reviewed, you will see the status page and any available updates.


In-App App Appeal Denied. If your appeal is denied, you will receive an email, push, and SMS notification advising that your appeal has been rejected. When opening the Dasher app, the status page will be updated to reflect the appeal decision.

In-App Appeal Accepted. If your in-app appeal is accepted, you will receive a push and SMS notification that your account has been reactivated. When you log into your app, you will be able to Dash.
Additional Appeals. If your appeal is denied, you can submit an additional appeal after waiting 90 days. To do so, log into your Dasher account and tap the “Start new appeal” button on the screen.

Using the Appeal Form and How it works:
How to tell if you need to appeal using the Appeal Form. If you are required to appeal your account deactivation using the Appeal Form, this will be indicated in the deactivation email you receive. The email will state, “You may appeal your deactivation by filling out this Appeal Form.
Submitting your appeal using the form. If your account deactivation requires that you appeal using the Appeal Form, provide the requested information, including details to support your request for reactivation. Once you submit the form, a specialized team will review your appeal and send a response email. This review process will apply only to certain Dasher account deactivations.
