DoorDash Canada x Subway Canada SubDog Sweepstakes Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.
1. ELIGIBILITY
The DoorDash Canada x Subway Canada SubDog Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open to individuals who, at the time of completing an Entry (defined below), are legal residents of Canada (excluding Quebec) and have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence. The following individuals are not eligible to enter or win a prize: employees, representatives, agents, directors, and officers of DoorDash Technologies Canada, Inc. (“Sponsor”) and parent, subsidiary, or affiliated companies; any marketing agencies and any other parties involved in the administration of the Sweepstakes, including the prize provider (collectively, the “Sweepstakes Parties"); and each of the immediate family members of such excluded individuals (i.e., spouses, parents, children, siblings, in-laws, and, as applicable, the “steps” of each) and all persons living in the same household of each, whether or not related. Any individuals who have won prizes from promotions sponsored by Sponsor ninety (90) days prior to the beginning of the Sweepstakes Period are not eligible to enter or win a prize. By participating in this Sweepstakes, participants agree to be bound by these official rules (“Official Rules”) and by the decisions of the Sponsor in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. This Sweepstakes is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. Entrants understand that they are providing their information to the Sponsor and not to Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc.
2. SWEEPSTAKES PERIOD
The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 p.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on 08/21/2026 and ends at 11:59 p.m. ET on 08/25/2026 (“Sweepstakes Period”).
3. HOW TO ENTER
During the Sweepstakes Period, complete the following to enter the Sweepstakes:
Entrants must comment on the post by DoorDash Canada (@doordash_ca) Subway Subdog on Instagram and vote “yes" or "no" to the question
Entrants must follow @DoorDash_ca and @subwaycanada on Instagram
If you do not have an Instagram account, establishing an account is free. All Instagram terms apply. Your Instagram account must be set to “public” in order for your entry to be eligible. You can return the applicable account to “private” any time after the winner(s) have been announced and the winner(s) have received their prize.
Limit one (1) entry per person regardless of the number of Instagram accounts used. Entries in excess of this limit will be void and disqualified if discovered by Sponsor. All entries must be completed and received during the Sweepstakes Period. Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeping device for the Sweepstakes.
4. REQUIREMENTS OF ENTRIES:
Entry may not contain, as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion, any content that:
is sexually explicit or suggestive; unnecessarily violent or derogatory of any ethnic, racial, gender, religious, professional or age group; profane or pornographic; contains nudity;
promotes alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing); promotes any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous; promotes any particular political agenda or message;
is obscene or offensive; endorses any form of hate or hate group; appears to duplicate any other submitted Entries;
defames, misrepresents, or contains disparaging remarks about other people or companies;
contains trademarks, logos, or trade dress (such as distinctive packaging or building exteriors/interiors) owned by others, without permission, to the extent permission is necessary;
contains any personal identification, such as license plate numbers, personal names, e-mail addresses or street addresses;
contains copyrighted materials owned by others (including photographs, sculptures, paintings, and other works of art or images published on or in websites, television, movies, or other media), without permission, to the extent permission is necessary;
contains materials embodying the names, likenesses, voices, or other indicia identifying any person, including, without limitation, celebrities and/or other public or private figures, living or dead, without permission;
contains look-alikes of celebrities or other public or private figures, living or dead;
communicates messages or images inconsistent with the positive images and/or goodwill to which we wish to associate; and/or
violates any law.
Entry must be the original work of the entrant, may not have been previously published, may not have won previous awards, and must not infringe upon the copyrights, trademarks, rights of privacy, publicity, or other intellectual property or other rights of any person or entity. If the Entry contains any material or elements that are not owned by the entrant and/or that are subject to the rights of third parties, the entrant is responsible for obtaining, prior to submission of the Entry, any and all releases and consents necessary to permit the use and exhibition of the Entry by Sponsor in the manner set forth in these Official Rules, including, without limitation, name and likeness permissions from any person who appears in or is identifiable in the Entry. Sponsor reserves the right to request proof of these permissions in a form acceptable to Sponsor from any entrant at any time. Failure to provide such proof may, if requested, render Entry null and void. By submitting an Entry, entrant warrants and represents that he/she and any persons appearing or who are identifiable in the Entry consent to the submission and use of the Entry in the Sweepstakes and to its use as otherwise set forth herein.
5. WINNER SELECTION AND NOTIFICATION
A random draw of the five (5) prize winners will be conducted for the Sweepstakes from among all eligible entries received during the applicable Sweepstakes Period, as set forth below:
The drawings will take place at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on 08/26/2026 at 600 - 160 Bloor St E, Toronto, ON M4W 3L4. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
An entry selected will be eligible to win one (1) prize. In the event of any error of any kind whatsoever, if more potential winners are selected than specified in these Official Rules, the Sponsor reserves the right to hold a random draw amongst all potential prize claimants to award the correct number of prizes.
The selected entrants for the prizes will be contacted via the Instagram account from which they made their entry by a representative of the Sponsor by 6:00 p.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on 08/27/2026.
Before being declared a prize winner, the selected entrants must correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise, an arithmetical, time-limited, skill-testing question. As a condition of receiving the prize, the potential winner must sign and return any documents requested by Sponsor, including but not limited to an affidavit of eligibility and publicity/liability release.
If the potential winner (i) is determined to be ineligible, (ii) fails to respond to the initial verification message within 24 hours of notification or after three (3) attempts (whichever occurs first), (iii) fails to correctly answer the skill testing question, (iv) fails to return all required documentation fully executed within the specific period of time, (v) is not in compliance with these Official Rules, or (vi) declines to accept the prize, the potential winner forfeits the prize in its entirety and an alternate winner will be selected based upon a random drawing of all remaining eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Up to three (3) alternate winners will be selected for any prize, after which such prize will remain unawarded. Prize will be delivered to the winner(s) to the address provided at the time of winner confirmation, provided that the address is in Canada (excluding Quebec). Properly claimed prizes will be awarded, but in no event will Sponsor award more prizes than provided for in the Official Rules.
All decisions of the Sponsor with respect to any aspect of this Sweepstakes, including without limitation, the eligibility of entries, are final and binding on all entrants in all matters as they relate to this Sweepstakes.
6. PRIZE(S)
Five (5) prizes are available to be won in connection with the Sweepstakes. Each prize consists of one (1) DoorDash x Subway prize pack containing a co-branded sweater, co-branded socks, a sub-carrying case, a spice shaker, and a CA$150 DoorDash gift card, as further described in the Sweepstakes post.
Approximate retail value (“ARV”): CA$350 per prize. Total ARV of all prizes: CA$1,750. Actual value may vary. Any difference between stated ARV and actual value will not be awarded.
Sponsor responsible only for prize delivery; not responsible for prize utility, quality, or otherwise. Any costs or expenses incurred by the winners in claiming or using their prizes will be the responsibility of the winners. Winner is solely responsible for any and all federal, provincial, local, or other applicable taxes associated with the acceptance and use of prize. Winner will provide all documentation as requested by Sponsor in order to comply with federal, provincial, local, or other applicable tax reporting requirements.
Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes of comparable or greater value in its sole discretion. Winner cannot substitute, transfer, or redeem the non-cash portion of the prize for cash. Prize is awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee, either express or implied by Sponsor, other than that specified herein. All prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion.
7. GRANT OF RIGHTS TO ENTRIES/PUBLICITY GRANT
By submitting an Entry, each entrant grants to Sponsor and its licensees, successors and assigns an irrevocable, perpetual, unlimited, royalty-free, fully paid-up license to reproduce, distribute, display, exhibit, exploit, perform, edit, create derivatives of, and otherwise use the entry and all elements of such Entry, together with any other material and the name, username, city and province or territory of residence, voice, image, and/or likeness of the entrant (including, but not limited to, applicable profile photo), in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, in any manner, in whole or in part, worldwide, without compensation or notification to, or permission from, the entrant or any third party, for any purpose whatsoever, including without limitation, for purposes of advertising or trade. Released Parties (defined below) are not responsible for any unauthorized use of Entries by third parties. Sponsor has no obligation to make use of the rights granted herein.
8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND RELEASE
By participating in the Sweepstakes or accepting a prize, each entrant agrees that the Sweepstakes Parties, Subway, Meta Platforms, Inc., and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, advertising agents, and promotional partners, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, and agents (collectively, “Released Parties”) will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by entrants against, any liability for any injuries, losses, or damages of any kind, including death to persons or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse, or use of the prize or participation in this Sweepstakes.
Released Parties are not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, damaged, stolen, altered, garbled, incorrect, illegible, postage-due, mutilated, incomplete, or delayed entries, emails, mail, or other communications, all of which will be void. Released Parties are also not responsible for problems related to unauthorized human intervention or for technical malfunctions of electronic equipment, computer online systems, servers, or providers; computer hardware or software failures; phone lines; traffic congestion on the internet or any website; or for any other technical problems, including telecommunication miscommunication or failure and failed, lost, delayed, incomplete, garbled, or misdirected communications, which may prevent the receipt of an entry or otherwise limit an entrant’s ability to participate in this Sweepstakes. Released Parties are not responsible for any other errors or malfunctions of any kind, whether network, printing, typographical, human, or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Sweepstakes, including, without limitation, errors or malfunctions that may occur in connection with the administration of the Sweepstakes, the processing of entries, the announcement of the prize, or any Sweepstakes-related materials.
As a condition of entering, each entrant agrees (and agrees to confirm in writing if requested by Sponsor) that to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law: (i) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, indirect, special, exemplary, or consequential damages and (ii) that any and all claims, judgments, and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, excluding attorneys’ fees and court costs. Furthermore, as a condition of entering, each entrant agrees that submission of an Entry constitutes permission to use the entrant’s name, image, likeness, voice, biographical information, and any testimonial statement provided by the entrant for purposes of advertising, marketing, and trade, in any medium in connection with the Sweepstakes, without further notice, approval, or compensation, unless prohibited by law.
Nothing in this Section shall exclude or limit any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including under the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act (British Columbia), the Consumer Protection Act, 2002 (Ontario), or other applicable provincial consumer protection legislation.
9. LEGAL WARNING
ANY ATTEMPT BY AN INDIVIDUAL, WHETHER OR NOT A PARTICIPANT, TO DELIBERATELY UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS, AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND DILIGENTLY PURSUE ALL REMEDIES AGAINST ANY SUCH INDIVIDUAL TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
10. SPONSOR’S RESERVATION OF RIGHTS
If the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including without limitation, due to a force majeure event or infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, social media platform outages, technical issues, or policy changes or any other causes that corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the Sweepstakes, Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who is responsible or who tampers with the entry process or otherwise acts in violation of these Official Rules (and void all associated entries) and to cancel, modify, or terminate the Sweepstakes. In the event of cancellation, Sponsor reserves the right to award the prize in its sole discretion based on all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to cancellation or as otherwise deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor. In the event that an entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, or destroyed, the entrant's sole remedy shall be another entry into the Sweepstakes. Sponsor reserves the right to modify the Official Rules for clarification purposes, even after the Sweepstakes Period has begun.
11. GOVERNING LAW, JURISDICTION, AND SEVERABILITY
Except as set out below, all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules; entrants’ rights and obligations; or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules. By entering, entrants agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Province of British Columbia for the resolution of all disputes and agree that any and all disputes shall be resolved exclusively in those courts. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any provision of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that or any other provision. If any provision of these Official Rules is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision shall be struck, and the remaining provisions shall be enforced. In the event of a conflict between these Official Rules and any marketing materials, these Official Rules will govern.
12. PRIVACY & PERSONAL INFORMATION
Any personally identifiable information collected during an entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes will be collected by Sponsor or its designee and used by Sponsor for the proper administration and fulfillment of the Sweepstakes and as otherwise described in these Official Rules and in accordance with the Sponsor's Consumer Privacy Policy. Personal information will be collected, used, and disclosed in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (Canada) and applicable provincial private-sector privacy legislation. The email address or contact information provided by a winner for the purpose of prize fulfillment will not be used to send commercial electronic messages or other marketing communications without the winner's separate express consent.
13. WINNER LIST
For the names of the winner(s), send an email to contest@ruckusdigital.ca by no later than August 31, 2026, and include “DoorDash Canada x Subway Canada SubDog Sweepstakes” in the subject line.
