DoorDash Gift Cards

Gift cards are now available in the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand!

What can I do if my gift card(s) were not delivered?

Gift card delivery can be impacted by incorrect emails or phone numbers, spam filters, corporate firewalls, and accidental deletions. Your order confirmation email will have the gift card link, you can copy the link and share it with the recipient.

If you have not received your gift card, please contact customer support.

How can I update the recipient's email address or phone number?

If the recipient's email address or phone number was entered incorrectly, and you need to update it:

  1. Navigate to the receipt for your gift card purchase in the DoorDash app. Click "Resend," and you will be able to send the gift card to the same recipient or a new email address or phone number.

  2. If the issue persists, please contact customer support.

*Note: You will not be able to switch the delivery option from phone to email, or email to phone.

Where can I find my receipt for my gift card order?

For Mobile users:

  • IOS

    • Sign in to the DoorDash app

    • Tap on the "Me" icon at the bottom

    • Tap on "Orders."

    • Tap on “Receipt.”

  • ANDROID

    • Sign in to the DoorDash app

    • Tap on “Profile Account” on the top right

    • Tap on “Orders.”

    • Tap on “Receipt.”

For Desktop users:

  1. Sign in to the DoorDash account on www.doordash.com

  2. Select "Account" in the bottom left corner

  3. Click "Gift Card."

  4. Select the gift card you'd like to buy

  5. Enter information and review the recipient information to ensure it is entered correctly

  6. Click on "Add to cart."

  7. Complete Payment Details

  8. Place Order

Order confirmation delivery can be impacted by incorrect emails or phone numbers, spam filters, corporate firewalls, and accidental deletions. If you still cannot find your order confirmation email, please contact customer support.

How to Purchase a Gift Card:

For Mobile users:

  • IOS

    1. Sign in to the DoorDash app

    2. Tap on the "Account" icon at the top

    3. Tap on "Gift Card."

    4. Tap on the gift card you'd like to buy

    5. Enter information and review the recipient information to ensure it is entered correctly

    6. Click on "Add to cart."

    7. Complete Payment Details

  • ANDROID

    1. Sign in to the DoorDash app

    2. Tap on “Profile Account” on the top right

    3. Tap on "Gift Card."

    4. Tap on "Buy Gift Card."

    5. Enter information and review the recipient information to ensure it is entered correctly

    6. Click on "Add to cart."

    7. Complete Payment Details

For Mobile users:

  • IOS

    1. Create an account or sign in to the DoorDash app

    2. Tap on the "Account" icon at the top

    3. Click on "Gift Card."

    4. Click on "Redeem."

    5. Enter the "Gift Card Pin."

    6. Click "Redeem to your account."

    7. Confirmation: The Gift Card amount will appear, and the DoorDash credit will automatically apply to your next order!

      • For Mobile users, adding a gift card during checkout:

        1. Select "View Cart"

        2. Scroll down to the total and select promo

        3. Select "Redeem Now" to the right of Have a gift card?

        4. Enter your 11-Digit Gift Card Pin and select Redeem Gift Card

  • ANDROID

    • Create an account or sign in to the DoorDash app

    • Tap on “Profile Account” on the top right

    • Tap on “Settings”

    • Click on "Gift Card"

    • Enter the "Gift Card Pin"

    • Click "Redeem Gift Card"

    • Confirmation: The Gift Card amount will appear, and the DoorDash credit will automatically apply to your next order!

      • For Mobile users, adding a gift card during checkout:

        • Select "View Cart"

        • Scroll down to the total and select promo

        • Select "Redeem Now" to the right of Have a gift card?

        • Enter your 11-Digit Gift Card Pin and select Redeem Gift Card

For Desktop users:

  1. Create an account or sign in to www.doordash.com

  2. Select "Account" in the bottom left corner

  3. Click on "Gift Card"

  4. Click on "Redeem"

  5. Enter the "Gift Card Pin"

  6. Click "Redeem to your account."

  7. Confirmation: The Gift Card amount will appear, and the DoorDash credit will automatically apply to your next order!

    • To redeem your gift card during checkout on desktop:

      1. Select "Checkout"

      2. Under the order cart, select "Promo codes, rewards & gift cards."

      3. Enter your 11-Digit Gift Card Pin under "Redeem Your Gift Card" and select "Redeem."

How to View Your Gift Card Credit Balance:

For Mobile users:

  • IOS

    1. Sign in to the DoorDash app

    2. Tap on the "Account" icon at the top

    3. Tap on "Payment"

    4. You will be able to see the total amount of DoorDash credits left

*Note: Previously received DoorDash credits and Gift Card credits are combined and will automatically apply to your next order! (For Example: If you currently have $10 in DoorDash credits and redeem a $25 gift card, your DoorDash credit balance will now be $35)

  • ANDROID

    1. Sign in to the DoorDash app

    2. Tap on “Profile Account” on the top right

    3. Tap on “Settings”

    4. Tap on "Payment Methods"

    5. You will be able to see the total amount of DoorDash credits left

Do I need to have a primary form of payment on my DoorDash account to use my gift card?

Primary payment method is not required if gift card funds cover the entire order; however, a primary payment method will need to be added if there is any remaining amount on the order.

Why haven't I received my Gift Card email?

Gift card delivery can be impacted by incorrect emails or phone numbers, spam filters, corporate firewalls, and accidental deletions. Your order confirmation email will have the gift card link. You can copy the link and share it with the recipient. If you still cannot find your order confirmation email, please contact customer support.

Why have I not received my gift card after purchasing it online?

If you purchased a gift card from a third-party website (i.e., Target, Amazon), please contact them directly.

When will the recipient receive the digital Gift Card?

The recipient will receive their gift card on the Send Date that you have chosen. The Send Date is automatically set to the current date, so if you don't choose an alternate date, the gift card will be sent on the day you purchase.

What does the recipient receive when I send a digital Gift Card?

Depending on the date you have chosen to have the gift card delivered, the recipient will receive a message letting them know that they have received a gift card, with a link to obtain their gift card pin. The link in the email/text message (depending on the delivery option you have chosen) will take them to the digital gift cards page (with the design you have selected), showing them the gift message, value, and gift card pin number. They will also see quick instructions for how to redeem the gift card.

How do I add an address?

For customers receiving an error message, we need your address to determine the credit currency.

  1. Sign in to the DoorDash app or on www.doordash.com

  2. For Mobile users:

    1. Tap on the address or the red arrow at the top of the screen

    2. Tap on "Addresses"

    3. Tap on the "+" for Android and the magnifying glass for iOS

    4. Enter & select your desired address

      (Suggested locations will show while you type your address into the search box. Ensure that you select the correct address among the suggestions.)

    5. Select the Drop Off option that you prefer by clicking the radio button next to the option.

    6. Input Delivery Instructions for your dasher, if there are any, in the space provided

    7. Tap Save

  3. For Desktop users:

    1. Click on the address in the top left-hand corner

    2. Enter & select your desired address under “search for a new address.”

      (Suggested locations will show while you type your address into the search box. Ensure that you select the correct address among the suggestions.)

    3. Select the Drop Off option that you prefer by clicking the radio button next to the option.

    4. Input Delivery Instructions for your dasher, if there are any, in the space provided

    5. Tap Save

    6. Confirmation: click on your new address to set it as your primary address
