Promo codes are one-time use discounts from DoorDash that provide either free delivery or a dollar amount off the subtotal of your order, prior to tax and service fees.

You can redeem general promotional codes on the Checkout page by entering them into the Enter Promo Code box. For any DDFB-specific promotions, please follow the guidance provided by your DoorDash representative.

How to Use Promos

Promo codes typically require certain conditions to be met before they can apply. For more information on different types of Doordash promo codes, please refer to the section below.

Once the conditions of the promotion are met, the code should apply automatically on the final page of checkout. You can also view available promos for your order by clicking onto ‘Promo codes, rewards & gift cards’ from the Checkout page, and entering or selecting a code that applies.

Please note that you cannot redeem Gift Card codes as Promo Codes. For gift cards, please redeem using the ‘Redeem Your Gift Card’ field.

Promo Guidelines

General Guidelines

  • Promo codes are case sensitive 

  • Each code can only be used once per account

  • Only (1) code can be used per order

Types of Promos

Automatic Free Delivery

e.g. “Enjoy Free Delivery from Taco Bell” or “Enjoy Free Delivery from local restaurants”

  • No promo code required. 

  • Applies automatically

  • Promotion is only available on the date(s) specified and ends at 11:59 PM PST on the date of expiration. 

  • Cannot be combined with other promotional codes.

Promo Code: Minimum Spend Required

e.g. “Enjoy $5 off your order of $25 or more; Use Code: XCODE20”

  • Minimum spend must be met by order subtotal (before tax and service fees)

  • Code must be supplied at checkout. 

  • Promotion is only available within a specific date and/or time window. 

  • Cannot be combined with other promotional codes.

Promo Code: Dollar Amount; Promotional Item Required

e.g. “Order X-Large Pizza today and get $3 off; Use Code: PIZZATEM”

  • Specific item required in order to apply

  • Code must be supplied at checkout. 

  • Promotion is only available within a specific date and/or time window. 

  • Cannot be combined with other promotional codes.

Promo Code: Free Item; Promotional Item Required

e.g. “Get a free slice of pie on March 14th when you order from The Pie Factory; Use Code: ITPIDAY”

  • Free item must be ordered from specific restaurant on specific date

  • Code must be supplied at checkout. 

  • Promotion is only available within a specific date and/or time window. 

  • Cannot be combined with other promotional codes.

FAQ

Q: The promotion didn’t apply, but I see the following flag at the top of my checkout receipt:

A: The condition for the promo hasn’t been met. Click the banner for more information on the promotion’s requirements, as shown below:

Q: The promotion didn’t apply, and I see the following error when I try to apply it manually at checkout:

A: The condition for the promo hasn’t been met; please meet the order minimum or add the required item to apply it.

Q: The promotion didn’t apply, and I'm not sure what the issue is.

A: If all other conditions appear to be met (order minimum met, promotional item ordered, etc.) then it could be that the promotion expired. Please check the promotional email or banner for any expiration dates.

If everything in your order appears to meet the promotion’s requirements and the code still isn’t applying, please contact us. Screenshots of the promotion and your order may help us resolve your issue faster.

Q: My in-store coupon isn’t applying to my order. What’s going on?

A: In-store promotions are only valid at the physical location of the restaurant, or through the restaurant’s direct website. 

Q: I got this coupon from [RetailMeNot/Couponscom/Other Coupon Website]. Why isn’t it working on DoorDash?

A: Unfortunately, we are not able to apply third-party promotions to a DoorDash order. Please keep an eye out for promos sent to your email directly from DoorDash, or on your DoorDash homepage.

Q: I had to cancel my order, and now the promo code won’t work on my new one. Why can’t I re-use the code?

A: Promotion codes are for one-time use, and unfortunately cannot be applied to another order once used – even if you canceled your original order.
