What is the Dasher Red Card ?

The Red Card is a prepaid card that Dashers use to pay for items on Dasher Shop & Deliver orders. Don’t worry, the card is funded by DoorDash! Red Cards are not linked to Dasher bank accounts or related to earnings

Red Cards are Virtual - stored in the digital wallet in your phone.

Why do I need a Red Card?

DoorDash Shop & Deliver orders can only be completed with a Red Card. We suggest you make sure to bring a Red Card with you so that you can accept these orders and take advantage of every earning opportunity.

How do I get a Red Card?

It’s simple - it just takes a minute

For Android:

1. Make sure you have Google Wallet installed on your phone. Note that currently Red Card only works on Google Wallet, and not any other digital wallets.

• Open the Google Play Store

• Search Google Wallet

• Tap Install

2. Add a Virtual Red Card to your Dasher app

• In the Dasher app, open the 3-dot Menu icon

• Tap Red Card

• Tap Get Virtual Red Card if you haven’t already

3. Add Virtual Red Card to Google Wallet

• Tap Add to G Pay

• Add Payment Card

• Accept Issuer Terms

4 Your Virtual Red Card is now added!

Note: Make sure the following are enabled and there is a green tick:

✅ NFC is On (note: if your NFC is not on, make sure you turn on the setting; if your phone does not support NFC, you can order a physical red card from our Dasher store)

✅ Google Wallet is set as default (note: currently Red Card only works on Google Wallet, and not any other digital wallets. If Samsung Pay or another wallet is set as default, it will prevent Red Card on Google Wallet from working)

For iOS (Not yet available in NZ)

1. In the Dasher app, tap account

2. Tap Get Virtual Red Card if you haven’t already

3. Tap Add to Apple Wallet

4. Follow the steps to add your card to Apple Pay

5. Open your Apple Wallet - now you can see your Red Card! You can also access your Virtual Red Card through Open in Apple Pay from the Dasher App.
