Overview
DoorDash may offer Dashers the ability to earn more while on a dash for completing deliveries that a Dasher accepts during the dates, times, and in areas Peak Pay is in effect.
In Earn per Offer mode, Dashers earn an additional amount more per eligible, completed delivery that is accepted while Peak Pay is in effect.
In Earn by Time mode, Peak Pay adds an additional amount to the guaranteed active hourly rate. When Peak Pay has been temporarily added, you will earn the guaranteed hourly rate plus the Peak Pay incentive per active hour (together, shown in blue when you start your dash) for offers accepted while Peak Pay is in effect.

Q: How do I qualify for Peak Pay?
A: Peak Pay is available to select Dashers at select times of day. To see which Peak Pay incentives you are eligible for, please check the Promos tab in the app:

Q: What if there are multiple Peak Pay Incentive opportunities happening at the same time?
A: If there are multiple Peak Pay Incentive opportunities in the same starting point you will receive a combined Peak Pay incentive.
Below is an example for Earn per Offer mode:
Incentive Opportunities Earn $2 extra in San Francisco between 11AM–2PM Earn $1 extra in San Francisco between 11AM–2PM Results You qualify for two incentive opportunities for $2 and $1 extra, you receive an extra $3 per completed delivery that is offered and accepted between 11AM-2PM while the incentive is in effect. $2 extra + $1 extra = $3 extra per delivery |
If there are multiple Peak Pay Incentives in different starting points, you will receive the Peak Pay Incentive based on where you started your dash.
Below is another example in Earn per Offer mode that would apply when you dash in multiple zones:
Incentive Opportunities Earn $1 extra in Zone 1 between 11AM–2PM Earn $2 extra in Zone 2 between 11AM–2PM Results You dash in Zone 1 between 11:15AM–12PM. You complete two deliveries during your dash, and your last delivery is in Zone 2. Since you started your dash in Zone 1 where the Peak Pay Incentive was $1, you receive $1 extra for each completed delivery, for a total of $2 extra! $1 extra per delivery x 2 delivery = $2 total You start a new dash at 12:15PM in Zone 2, and complete 2 deliveries. Your second delivery is in Zone 3, where there is no active Peak Pay Incentive. Since you started your dash in Zone 2 where the Peak Pay Incentive was $2 extra, you will receive $2 extra for all completed deliveries that are offered and accepted between 11AM-2PM, even though you ended your dash in an area without an active Peak Pay. $2 extra per delivery x 2 orders = $4 total |
Below is an example in Earn by Time mode dashing in one zone:
Incentive Opportunities Earn $3 extra per hour from when you accept to when you complete each offer in San Francisco between 11AM–2PM Results You dash in San Francisco between 10:45AM–12:15PM and complete two deliveries that each take a half hour to complete. You accept the first offer before 11AM and the second one at 11:45AM. Since Peak Pay was $3 extra per hour for offers accepted between 11AM-2PM, you will receive the Peak Pay Incentive for the second offer, and will earn the extra pay from the time you accepted the offer to when you completed it, for a total of $1.50 extra! $3 extra per hour from when you accept to when you complete the delivery x 0.5 hours = $1.50 total |
Q: When and where can I see my Peak Pay earnings?
A: Calculations of Peak Pay occur when you have completed a delivery:

Q: When do I get paid for Peak Pay?
A: Dashers have a variety of payout options available to them. How and when Dashers get paid depends on their chosen payout method, such as weekly direct deposit, Dasher Direct, or Fast Pay, if applicable. Please see this article for more information.
Q: How does the Dynamic Peak Pay pilot program work?
A: Our new Dynamic Peak Pay pilot program does not have a set start and end time. Check the Dasher app to see if Dynamic Peak Pay is live in your area and receive an extra $1 on each delivery you complete when the offer is live at the eligible starting point. If you start your dash when Dynamic Peak Pay is live but don’t receive any offers before Dynamic Peak Pay is no longer live, we’ll add the extra $1 on the next offer you receive in the same dash. Note that if you decline the next offer, you may not see the extra $1 on the following offer.
