DoorDash Concierge Terms and Conditions
DoorDash Concierge: For a limited time, select DashPass members in the United States will be eligible to enroll in the DoorDash Concierge program (DoorDash Concierge). DoorDash Concierge enables eligible DashPass members to request that DoorDash arrange certain everyday errands or tasks (each, a “Task”). Tasks are performed by independent third-party providers who are not employees, agents, or joint venturers of DoorDash. The types of Tasks available and whether DoorDash will facilitate payment for a Task are determined by DoorDash in its sole discretion and may change at any time.
The program is offered only in select locations and is available only on the dates and during the hours DoorDash designates. DoorDash may decline, cancel, or place limits on Task requests, and certain categories of Tasks, items, or locations may be excluded. DoorDash Concierge is not available to all DashPass members, but only to select DashPass members as determined by DoorDash in its sole discretion. If you pause or cancel your DashPass subscription at any time, you will lose access to DoorDash Concierge. DoorDash reserves the right to revoke eligibility for DoorDash Concierge or remove you from the DoorDash Concierge program at any time without notice.
Community Guidelines and Safety: Use of DoorDash Concierge is subject to the DoorDash Community Guidelines that must be adhered to and followed at all times when using the DoorDash Concierge service. DoorDash reserves the right to decline or cancel a Task or remove you from participation in the DoorDash Concierge program if DoorDash believes that you are not acting appropriately or acting in contravention of the DoorDash Community Guidelines.
Data and Information Sharing: To enable your participation in DoorDash Concierge, DoorDash and its service providers (including its and their employees, contractors and service providers) will need to process certain personal information (for example, identifiers (for example, name, user ID), Task or order related information, payment information, communication data, and contact information) from or about you. The personal information will be processed for the purposes of receiving, processing and completing Tasks (including, without limitation, making deliveries and pickups) and communicating with you via email, phone and/or SMS in connection with Tasks. In addition, we will disclose certain personal information to the merchants and/or any other persons and parties that you request that we engage with in connection with a Task. For some Tasks, DoorDash and its service providers (including its and their employees and contractors) may need to access your DoorDash consumer account to initiate and complete Tasks (including using your payment information stored within your account). The personal information processed in connection with DoorDash Concierge will not be “sold” or “shared” (as these terms are defined under data protection laws). By enrolling in DoorDash Concierge you hereby acknowledge and agree to the data processing and disclosures as described in these terms and to receiving communications via email, phone call and/or SMS from or about your participation in DoorDash Concierge. If you wish to discontinue using DoorDash Concierge, you can stop using this at any time.
Payment for Tasks: You authorize DoorDash (and our payment processors) to charge your selected payment method saved to your DoorDash account for amounts related to a Task, including Task costs, service fees, reimbursements or purchases made on your behalf, tips/gratuities, taxes, deposits or preauthorizations, and any applicable adjustments or cancellation fees. If a charge is unsuccessful, you authorize DoorDash to retry and/or charge another saved payment method on your account. We may place and later adjust a hold or preauthorization for the estimated amount; the final amount charged may differ based on the actual Task. Adjusted amounts will be settled within 48 hours of the transaction. You may be asked to add or verify a payment method before we accept or complete a Task. For Tasks that involve purchases or variable costs, we may present an invoice and require your approval before we proceed and before your payment method is charged. You may approve (or decline) as instructed. If you do not provide timely approval, we may cancel the Task. Actual amounts may vary due to taxes, fees, substitutions, or price changes.
Restricted Items and Prohibited Tasks: Tasks that involve regulated, dangerous, or otherwise restricted items are not available to be delivered or otherwise handled through DoorDash Concierge. You agree not to request (and DoorDash will not perform) Tasks involving, without limitation: alcohol; tobacco, vaping, or cannabis products; prescription medications or controlled substances; weapons, ammunition, or explosives; hazardous or flammable materials; live animals; cash or cash equivalents (including gift cards, money orders, or checks); items requiring a professional license or special permits; or any other goods or activities that are deemed unlawful, unsafe, age-restricted, or prohibited by DoorDash. DoorDash may refuse, cancel, or terminate any Task in its sole discretion.
Modification of terms: DoorDash reserves the right to modify, suspend, terminate, cancel or discontinue the DoorDash Concierge services at any time and without any notice. In the event of termination or modification of the DoorDash Concierge, customers will not be entitled to any substitute, credit, or compensation.
Fraud and misconduct: DoorDash reserves the right to revoke or suspend your eligibility for DoorDash Concierge if DoorDash believes in its sole discretion that you are acting (or attempting to act) fraudulently or in bad faith.
Not a Reseller: For Tasks involving third-party purchases (e.g. picking up dry cleaning), you authorize DoorDash (or a provider) to place orders and pay on your behalf. Any amounts you pay DoorDash are reimbursements for the exact amount DoorDash paid on your behalf and are not consideration for a sale by DoorDash. You are the purchaser from the third-party merchant; the third-party merchant is the seller of record to you. DoorDash does not resell or take title to the goods and except where required by law does not assess, collect, or remit sales/use tax on those goods. Taxes on purchased items may be charged to you by the third-party merchant or may be your responsibility. DoorDash collects and remits tax only on its own fees.
Waiver and release: To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and waive any claims against DoorDash and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents arising out of or relating to DoorDash Concierge or any Task, including the acts or omissions of independent providers, merchants, or other third parties, the handling/transport of items, access to properties, or communications used to coordinate a Task. DoorDash Concierge and all Tasks are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind (including as to availability, safety, quality, fitness, or legal compliance). DoorDash is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss, theft, or damage to property (no bailment is created). In all events, DoorDash’s total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of: (a) the fees you paid to DoorDash for DoorDash Concierge (excluding pass-through reimbursements) for the Task giving rise to the claim, or (b) $100. These limitations do not purport to limit liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Indemnification: You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless DoorDash and its affiliates from and against any third-party claims, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your items, instructions, properties, or use of the Program in violation of law or policy.
General Terms: DoorDash Concierge is subject to the DoorDash Consumer Terms and Conditions and the DoorDash Privacy Policy. DoorDash Concierge is only available for select DashPass members in the US only as determined by DoorDash, DoorDash Concierge is not available to all DashPass members. DashPass benefits apply only on eligible orders from DashPass merchants that meet the minimum subtotal requirement, excluding fees and taxes. Subtotal minimums will be identified for each DashPass merchant on DoorDash.
