DoorDash for Bottlecapps Merchants

8 min read

Overview

The DoorDash integration through Bottlecapps connects your supported POS system to the DoorDash Marketplace, specifically built for liquor and alcohol retailers. Setup is completed by connecting your store inside the Bottlecapps Dashboard. Once connected, any catalog and inventory changes you make in your POS, including pricing and availability, are automatically synced to DoorDash. By default, DoorDash orders are not pushed into the Bottlecapps Dashboard order queue, though you can optionally opt into order integration if desired.

Before You Begin

Eligibility

The DoorDash integration through Bottlecapps is built for liquor (or alcohol) retailers.

  • Store Type — select Liquor Store (may also appear as Alcohol) when completing setup in the

  • DoorDash Merchant Portal — this determines the correct commission package and setup on DoorDash's side.

  • POS Remote Access — you'll be asked to provide Bottlecapps with TeamViewer (or similar remote-access tool) access to your POS, so Bottlecapps can set up a scheduler to pull your inventory data.

  • Signed Permissions Agreement — Bottlecapps sends Permissions Agreement for e-signature via DocuSign as part of getting started.

  • Contract Status — whether you're new to DoorDash or already have a signed contract determines which onboarding path you follow in the DoorDash Merchant Portal.

Important

Be sure to select Liquor Store (or Alcohol) as your store type in the DoorDash Merchant Portal — selecting the wrong type can misconfigure commission and setup.

Connect Your Bottlecapps Store to DoorDash

When Will My Integration Go Live?

Average time-to-activate for Bottlecapps integrations is about 30 days from getting started with Bottlecapps to going live on DoorDash - this covers Bottlecapps building and you approving your catalog, and completing setup in the DoorDash Merchant Portal.

Managing Your Catalog & Inventory

Once you're live, all catalog and inventory changes are made in your POS — you do not need to log in to Bottlecapps to update pricing or availability.

  • Automatic Sync — catalog changes you make in your POS (pricing, availability, etc.) are automatically reflected in the Bottlecapps feed.

  • Daily Catalog Refresh — Bottlecapps pulls your POS data daily and sends it to DoorDash for a daily catalog refresh, so price and stock changes flow through automatically.

  • New Items — items you add to your POS are captured and submitted to the DoorDash catalog team for build on a weekly basis.

  • Sale Pricing — if you're offering a discount in-store, you can share that data so it displays as strikethrough pricing on DoorDash, helping drive additional volume.

Note

If you run into a catalog-specific issue, contact the Bottlecapps Help Desk at help@bottlecapps.com.
