Q:What DashPass benefits do I get as an Avion Rewards member?
A: DoorDash Inc (DoorDash) and RBC Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) or (Royal Bank) are pleased to offer a complimentary DashPass subscription to eligible RBC cardholders and Avion Rewards members (Offer).
To be eligible for the Offer you must be either (i) the primary cardholder of an Eligible RBC credit card (see“Eligible Card types” below), or (ii) an Avion Select member, and also meet the following criteria:
No Recent DashPass Subscription: You must not have been subscribed to DashPass in any form (including but not limited to a paid membership, free trial, promotional subscription, or partnership plan) within the six months immediately preceding redemption of the Offer. For clarity the six-month eligibility requirement is a fixed look-back period, not a rolling period.
Redemption Limit: You may redeem at most two complimentary DashPass subscription periods in your lifetime through DashPass for RBC, regardless of whether obtained via a previous offer, this Offer, an upgrade, or any other related promotion. Once this limit is reached, the individual is no longer eligible for additional complimentary DashPass Subscription periods through DashPass for RBC.
You must be a resident of Canada at the time of redemption.

Q: What makes an order eligible for DashPass benefits?
A: Things to check before placing an order:
Check the DoorDash app or Doordash.com for restaurants near you that have a DashPass logo under Store Info
Enjoy $0 delivery fees and reduced service fees on orders from DashPass eligible merchants that meet the minimum order requirement.
For Premium and Elite customers, make sure that you have signed up for DashPass with an eligible RBC credit card and that your designated payment method is the same eligible RBC card.
DashPass benefits of $0 delivery fee and reduced service fees should immediately apply if the above criteria are met.
Q:What happens if I remove my RBC credit card from my account?
A: For Premium and Elite RBC customers you must pay with your eligible RBC credit card in order to receive the exclusive DashPass benefits. If the eligible card is removed as your designated payment method, you will not receive DashPass benefits.
Q:Why don’t I see the RBC offer in the DoorDash mobile app?
A: Here are some of the reasons you may not be seeing the RBC offer:
Payments through third-party wallets like Google Pay and Apple Pay are not eligible for the free subscription. Check to make sure you have entered your eligible RBC credit card information in the DoorDash wallet.
You may need to update your credit card information in the DoorDash app. Within the DoorDash app, tap on the Account icon and navigate to Add a Card to re-enter your card number, expiration date, CVV, and zip code. After you save your card information, the promotional offer should appear.
If you still don’t see the promotional offer, please call Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) for assistance at 1-800-769-2512 (ROYAL12).
Please note, the RBC DashPass benefit is only available to one eligible RBC credit card per DoorDash account. An eligible RBC Credit Card that is already subscribed to the DashPass benefit does not qualify for any additional DashPass benefits.
To be eligible for the RBC DashPass benefit you must not have an active DashPass subscription, and you must not have had a DashPass subscription in the last 6 months. You are also only eligible for two DashPass free trials through RBC across your lifetime.
Avion Rewards customers will need to access the offer via the Avion Rewards page.
Q: What happens if I add another eligible RBC card to my DoorDash wallet?
A:Once your RBC DashPass benefits are activated, you may pay for your order using any eligible RBC credit card in your DoorDash wallet to receive the DashPass benefit.
Q: How is the expiration date of my RBC benefit determined?
A: The benefit period will begin when the cardholder first subscribes to DashPass with their eligible RBC credit card, or Avion Rewards account, and activates the DashPass for RBC offer. The expiration date of the benefit will be based on the eligible card used to enroll for DashPass for RBC.
Q: What happens at the end of my RBC DashPass Benefit Period?
A: At the completion of your complimentary DashPass Subscription period, you will automatically be charged the then current DashPass subscription fee, currently $9.99 / month (plus any applicable taxes) on a recurring basis until you cancel. Cancellation instructions may be viewed here. The DashPass membership fee will be charged to your preferred or any other payment method we have on file for your DoorDash account.
Q: What happens if I activate my free DashPass with my eligible RBC card then upgrade or downgrade to another eligible RBC card?
A: If during the course of the Offer period you upgrade to a higher-tier Eligible RBC Card and add that upgraded Eligible RBC Card to your DoorDash wallet, you will be eligible to extend or to re-enroll into a complimentary DashPass Subscription in accordance with the benefit period applicable to the upgraded eligible RBC card. For clarity, you will not be entitled to re-enroll or extend your complimentary DashPass Subscription should you downgrade card tiers. Re-enrolling in or extending your complimentary DashPass Subscription by way of upgrade is limited to one time only per customer during the lifetime of the customer. If you have already claimed a second complimentary DashPass Subscription through DashPass for RBC through an RBC product (whether through an upgrade or otherwise), including in a prior Offer period, you will no longer be eligible for a complimentary DashPass Subscription through DashPass for RBC.
Q: What happens if I pay for an order with an ineligible payment method?
A: For Elite and Premium customers, while you’re free to use the payment method of your choice, exclusive DashPass benefits will only apply when using an eligible RBC credit card at checkout. You’ll pay the full delivery fee on an order from a DashPass restaurant if you pay with an ineligible payment method. For Avion Rewards customers on a 2 month trial you are free to use any payment method of your choice and you will receive exclusive DashPass benefits.
Q: What happens if I pay for a DashPass subscription?
A: If you currently have a DashPass subscription you are not eligible for the offer.
I have a RBC eligible card but cannot view my DashPass benefits:
Update your DoorDash app with the latest version.
Sign out of your DoorDash App and sign back in with the same login credentials on both platforms.
Unsubscribe from your existing DashPass subscription to activate the RBC DashPass for RBC benefit.
Mobile:
In your DoorDash app, tap the Account tab
Tap on Manage DashPass
Tap on End Subscription
Web:
Access your DoorDash account via web browser and click on the menu icon in the top left corner (3 stacked lines)
Click on Manage DashPass
Click on End Subscription
After ending your existing subscription, follow the RBC DashPass activation steps above.
Delete and re-add your eligible RBC credit card
Mobile:
In your DoorDash, tap on the Account tab
Tap on Payment Cards
Click Add Card and input your eligible RBC credit card information. Ensure the zip code entered reflects the credit card’s billing address
After saving, select this card as your default payment method
To delete the old credit card, swipe left on the card you wish to delete
Web:
Access your DoorDash account via web browser and click on the menu icon in the top left corner (3 stacked lines)
Click on Account
Scroll down to Payment Cards
Click Add Card and input your eligible RBC credit card information. Ensure the zip code entered reflects the credit card’s billing address.
After saving, select this card as your default payment method.
To delete the old credit card, click on the X located to the right of the credit card you wish to delete.
