Going Out Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions govern the DoorDash Going Out program (the “Program”). Under the Program, DoorDash (“we,” “us,” “our”) may offer, from time to time, a promotion, discount, credit, or other incentive to you in exchange for your dining in person at an eligible restaurant and meeting certain other requirements (a “Deal”). Deals will be displayed to you in the DoorDash app if you are eligible, and you must typically take two steps to qualify for and receive a Deal: (1) “Claim” the Deal, which means you affirmatively select the Deal in the app; and (2) “Redeem” the Deal, which means you meet all of the requirements stated in the Deal that you Claimed. Deals may vary from one another, and each Deal will state all applicable details and requirements, such as: the type and/or amount of the promotion, discount, credit, or other incentive being offered (for example, the amount of DoorDash credits you will receive by successfully Redeeming the Deal); the timeframe in which the Deal must be Claimed and, once Claimed, the timeframe in which the Deal must be Redeemed; the amount of money you must spend dining in person at the restaurant, if applicable; and how to successfully Redeem the Deal (for example, by successfully checking in at the restaurant from the DoorDash app or by submitting a receipt showing that you dined in person at the restaurant). Some Deals may be limited to a certain number of customers who first Claim the Deal, which will be stated in the Deal. Redeeming a Deal typically requires dining in person at the restaurant specified in the Deal you Claimed and meeting all other requirements of the Deal. You are responsible for paying all applicable sales tax on your order. Deals cannot be applied to the purchase of alcohol where prohibited. Deals cannot be applied to takeout orders unless permitted by the restaurant. If a restaurant has multiple locations, a Deal may be limited to certain locations as stated in the Deal. Eligible restaurants are subject to change without notice. A restaurant may impose a limit of one (1) Deal redemption per table or party, regardless of how many diners at the table or in the party have Claimed the Deal. If a Deal involves receiving a discount on your order and the full value of the Deal is not used on a single order, the remaining value will be forfeited.

  • If you submit a photo of food that you ordered in connection with a Deal, your submitted photo must: (1) be of food that you ordered and received from the restaurant mentioned in the Deal during the visit in which you are Redeeming the Deal; (2) be an original photo that you have taken in the restaurant mentioned in the Deal; (3) meet the DoorDash Content Guidelines; and (4) not be only of a prepackaged item (such as a bottled or canned beverage, bag of chips, or sauce), utensils, or napkins. By submitting a photo, you grant DoorDash a perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, fully paid, royalty-free, non-exclusive, worldwide, fully sublicensable right and license to use, copy, display, publish, modify, remove, publicly perform, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, and/or otherwise use the photo in connection with DoorDash’s business and in all forms now known or hereafter invented, without notification to and/or approval by you. You represent and warrant that you are the owner of, or otherwise have the right to provide, any photo that you submit. You further represent and warrant that any photo you submit (a) does not violate any third-party right, including any copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, privacy right, right of publicity, or any other intellectual property or proprietary right; (b) does not contain material that is false, intentionally misleading, or defamatory; (c) does not contain any material that is unlawful; (d) does not violate any law or regulation; and (e) does not violate, and is governed by, DoorDash's Consumer Terms and Conditions.

  • If you check in at a restaurant in connection with a Deal, you must have granted the DoorDash app access to your device’s precise location and you acknowledge that, in connection with the Program, we will only access such precise location when you attempt to check in and we will not store such precise location.

  • We may, from time to time, offer you the opportunity to earn DoorDash credits by Claiming and Redeeming a specified number of Deals within a designated time period (a “Challenge”). For each Challenge, the required number of Deal redemptions, eligible order types and restaurants, amount of credits you can earn, completion period, and other details will vary and will be disclosed in the Challenge. For clarity, any credits you earn for completing a Challenge are in addition to any credits or benefits you may separately earn from Redeeming the individual Deals that make up the Challenge. We may discontinue a Challenge, or all Challenges, at any time without notice to you, even if you have already made partial progress toward completing a Challenge.

  • If you receive DoorDash credits for Redeeming a Deal or completing a Challenge, such credits are promotional credits and will expire six (6) months from the date of issue, except as otherwise stated in the Deal or to the extent prohibited by applicable law. Credits have no cash value, may not be exchanged or redeemed for cash or any equivalent, and are not intended as payment. Credits are non-transferrable and can only be redeemed for future DoorDash orders on www.doordash.com or in the DoorDash app with the latest version, and within DoorDash service areas and service hours. Maximum amount of credits that may be earned is $600 per person per year. Credits will be issued in the currency of the country associated with your DoorDash account. Promotional credits and Deals are subject to additional terms.

  • If you submit a receipt in connection with a Deal, you are responsible for ensuring the receipt does not contain any personal information, such as a full credit card number, and we are not responsible for any personal information you submit as part of a receipt.

You must have a valid DoorDash account to participate in the Program. Deals are only available to select customers and customer eligibility can change at any time without notice. Only one Deal may be Redeemed per day across all restaurants, regardless of how many Deals you have Claimed. The Program is subject to change or termination at any time without notice. Any expiration date for a particular Deal will be stated in the Deal. We may remove you from the Program if we suspect fraud or abuse of the Program.

You may be able to accrue loyalty points and earn and redeem rewards at certain restaurants related to qualifying in-store orders under the Program at eligible locations (“In-Store Orders”) as well as delivery/pickup orders with the restaurant placed through the DoorDash platform (“Marketplace Orders”). For these restaurants, your In-Store Orders and Marketplace Orders will each contribute toward accruing points and earning rewards, and you may redeem a reward in connection with either an In-Store Order or a Marketplace Order. Related to accruing points on In-Store Orders: (a) if the restaurant has a visit-based store rewards program, placing a qualifying In-Store Order will be equivalent to placing a Marketplace Order that is eligible to accrue points; and (b) if the restaurant has a spend-based store rewards program, placing an In-Store Order will be equivalent to placing a Marketplace Order of a particular amount as determined by DoorDash and/or the restaurant.

These terms and conditions govern the DoorDash Going Out program (the “Program”). Under the Program, DoorDash (“we,” “us,” “our”) may offer, from time to time, a promotion, discount, credit, or other incentive to you in exchange for your dining in person at an eligible restaurant and meeting certain other requirements (a “Deal”). Deals will be displayed to you in the DoorDash app if you are eligible, and you must typically take two steps to qualify for and receive a Deal:

(1) “Claim” the Deal, which means you affirmatively select the Deal in the app; and

(2) “Redeem” the Deal, which means you meet all of the requirements stated in the Deal that you Claimed.

Deals may vary from one another, and each Deal will state all applicable details and requirements, such as:

  • the type and/or amount of the promotion, discount, credit, or other incentive being offered (for example, the amount of discount you will receive by successfully Redeeming the Deal);

  • the timeframe in which the Deal must be Claimed and, once Claimed, the timeframe in which the Deal must be Redeemed;

  • the amount of money you must spend dining in person at the restaurant, if applicable; and

  • how to successfully Redeem the Deal (for example, by successfully checking in at the restaurant from the DoorDash app or by submitting a receipt showing that you dined in person at the restaurant).

Deals must be taken as offered and cannot be varied. Deals are not transferable or exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash or any other currency. If you do not take an element of a Deal at the time stipulated, then that element of the Deal will be forfeited without compensation.

Some Deals may be limited to a certain number of customers who first Claim the Deal, which will be stated in the Deal. Redeeming a Deal typically requires dining in person at the restaurant specified in the Deal you Claimed and meeting all other requirements of the Deal. You are responsible for paying all applicable goods and services tax on your order. Deals are not valid on alcohol or takeout orders unless permitted by the restaurant. If a restaurant has multiple locations, a Deal may be limited to certain locations as stated in the Deal. Eligible restaurants are subject to change without notice. A restaurant may impose a limit of one (1) Deal redemption per table or party, regardless of how many diners at the table or in the party have Claimed the Deal. If a Deal involves receiving a discount on your order and the full value of the Deal is not used on a single order, the remaining value will be forfeited.

If any element of a Deal is altered, changes or becomes unavailable due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the restaurant, the restaurant may, at its sole discretion and to the fullest extent permitted by law, modify or cancel the Deal (or any element of the Deal). Where possible, a reasonable alternative of equal or greater value will be offered.

You are responsible for all travel and other expenses you may incur relating to Redeeming a Deal. You must comply with any conditions of entry, dining requirements, policies and other standards the restaurant imposes on its customers including, but not limited to, dress codes, behaviour and health and safety. If you do not comply and/or follow the reasonable requests of the restaurant, your Deal may be forfeited without compensation or reimbursement.

If you submit a receipt in connection with a Deal on the DoorDash app, you are responsible for ensuring the receipt does not contain any personal information, such as a full credit card number, and we are not responsible for any personal information you submit as part of a receipt. If you check in at a restaurant in connection with a Deal, you must have granted the DoorDash app access to your device’s precise location and you acknowledge that you may not be able to access the Program without sharing your precise location information. We receive and store your precise location information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. If you receive DoorDash credits for Redeeming a Deal, such credits will be applied to your DoorDash account within three business days. DoorDash credits and Deals are subject to additional terms.

You must have a valid DoorDash account to participate in the Program. Deals are only available to select customers and customer eligibility can change at any time without notice. Only one Deal may be Redeemed per day, per participating restaurant, regardless of how many Deals you have Claimed. The Program is subject to change or termination at any time without notice. Any expiration date for a particular Deal will be stated in the Deal. We may remove you from the Program if we suspect fraud or abuse of the Program or non-compliance with our Consumer Terms and Conditions. If we become aware that you have Redeemed a Deal fraudulently, we may require you to make restitution of the Deal.

You may be able to accrue loyalty points issued by certain restaurants and earn and redeem rewards at certain restaurants related to qualifying in-store orders under the Program at eligible locations (“In-Store Orders”) as well as delivery/pickup orders with the restaurant placed through the DoorDash platform (“Marketplace Orders”). For these restaurants, your In-Store Orders and Marketplace Orders will each contribute toward accruing points and earning rewards, and you may redeem a reward in connection with either an In-Store Order or a Marketplace Order. Related to accruing points on In-Store Orders: (a) if the restaurant has a visit-based store rewards program, placing a qualifying In-Store Order will be equivalent to placing a Marketplace Order that is eligible to accrue points; and (b) if the restaurant has a spend-based store rewards program, placing an In-Store Order will be equivalent to placing a Marketplace Order of a particular amount as determined by DoorDash and/or the restaurant. For the avoidance of doubt, DoorDash does not issue loyalty points.
