What are customer substitution preferences?

You have the option to add a substitution preference when placing your order. This guides what happens if an item becomes unavailable. If you do not select a substitution preference or select "Contact Me" but you are unresponsive, the Shopper may select for you a suitable substitution, where appropriate.  

Go with Similar Item

If you select this option, the Shopper will select a replacement recommendation for the unavailable item.  The Shopper will aim to select a substitute product that is similar in value and quality but reserves the right not to provide you with a substitute even if a suitable product is available. If you are provided with a substitute product where the price for that substitute product is less than the product you selected, we will charge you the price of the lower-priced substitute product and, if you have paid for the product you selected, we will refund you the difference between the price paid and the lower-priced substitute product.

Where a product selected by you is substituted with another product, the Shopper cannot ensure that the substitute product caters to your specific dietary requirements, including allergies. Please read the labels of all products for dietary and allergy information.

Pre-Select Substitutes

If you select this option, the Shopper will select your pre-approved item to be substituted for the originally ordered item.

Refund this item

If you select this option, the Shopper will remove the item from your order and refund the amount.

Contact Me

If you select this option, the Shopper will chat or call you to confirm if you wish to:

  1. Substitute the item; or

  2. Remove the item

NOTE : If you select this option and you do not answer our call, the Shopper may choose a suitable substitution, or the item will be refunded, as deemed appropriate.
