Overview

The Overall Dasher Rating is a new way to qualify for Dasher Rewards, giving you more flexibility to unlock higher earnings and exciting new perks. As this is a pilot, features and eligibility may vary by Dasher. Check your email or the Ratings tab in your app to see what applies to you. Please note that Dashers must have completed 50 or more deliveries to be eligible for the Rewards program.

What is the Overall Dasher Rating?

The Overall Dasher Rating (ODR) combines points from six factors:

  • Acceptance rate

  • Completion rate

  • Customer rating

  • On-time rate

  • Quality rate

  • Last 30-day orders

Your total score determines your Rewards status — Silver, Gold, or Platinum.

As each individual rating changes, your Overall Dasher Rating updates automatically in real time.

What does this mean for you?

If you’re part of this pilot, you’ll qualify for a rewards status based on your Overall Dasher Rating. This means there are more ways to qualify for Rewards when you deliver with high-quality service.

  • More flexibility: Reach higher statuses in multiple ways. Dash whenever you want with Dash Now, regardless of status.

  • More earnings: Top Dashers can earn more and wait less with Offer Boosts.

  • More perks: Unlock new benefits like Store Pause and Platinum Pass.

You can view your score, ratings, and points breakdown in the Ratings tab of the Dasher app.

Overall Dasher Rating FAQ

Q: How is the Overall Dasher Rating calculated?

A: Your current acceptance rate, completion rate, customer rating, on-time rate, quality rate, and last 30-day orders will help you earn points towards the Overall Dasher Rating. Any change in these ratings updates your Overall Dasher Rating automatically.

Q: How soon will I receive rewards after qualifying for a new status?

A: Once your Overall Dasher Rating qualifies you for a new status, your new eligible rewards will be unlocked instantly and will remain active as long as your Overall Dasher Rating stays within the requirements for that status.

Q: What happens if my Overall Dasher Rating drops below the minimum to qualify?

A: If your Overall Dasher Rating drops below the minimum to qualify for rewards, you will still be able to dash but will no longer qualify for the rewards in the Dasher Rewards program. You can always check the Ratings tab in the Dasher app to see how many points you’re getting for each of your ratings and identify areas to increase your points.

Q: What if I have completed less than 50 deliveries?

A: We understand that it takes time to learn how to use the platform. To help you get off to a great start, new Dashers like you will have access to special perks on your first 50 deliveries, regardless of what your Overall Dasher Rating is. After you’ve completed your first 50 deliveries, you’ll then be eligible to qualify for the Dasher Rewards program based on your Overall Dasher Rating.

Q: Can I still decline offers?

A: Dashers can accept or decline offers based on their personal preferences.

Q: What happens to my Overall Dasher Rating if I dash outside of my area?

A: The Overall Dasher Rating pilot will remain active and determine your eligibility for the Rewards program as long as you primarily dash in this area. If you dash frequently in multiple areas, your Rewards qualification may revert to the qualification criteria in another area. Check the Ratings tab in your app any time to stay updated.

Rewards FAQ

Dash Now & Offer Boosts

Available in select locations

With Dash Now, all Dashers can start dashing anytime — no scheduling required. In select areas, Offer Boosts are designed to give higher status priority access to new offers and reduce their wait times.

Platinum Dashers will get priority on all offers and, on average, can expect the shortest wait times, followed by Gold, then Silver, then Dashers who haven’t earned Reward status yet.

*Based on average offer frequency in initial testing compared to Gold, Silver, and Dashers who haven’t earned Reward status yet. Actual offer wait times may vary based on various factors, such as time of day, location, and offer availability.

Q: Will Dash Now always guarantee fast offers?

A: Not necessarily. Dash Now gives the ability to start a dash anytime, but the offer frequency depends on demand, time of day, and local offer volume. Offer Boosts give priority to higher status but do not guarantee offers.

Q: Do Offer Boosts change earnings per order?

A: Offer Boosts increase access and priority for available offers, helping you stay busy. They help you spend more time earning by reducing idle time between offers.

Q: If everyone can Dash Now, won’t that increase competition for offers?

A: It can — but Offer Boosts ensure higher-status Dashers still get priority, so they spend less time waiting.

Q: Can I still schedule dashes if I prefer to plan ahead?

A: Yes. The Schedule tab remains available for those who prefer to plan ahead but it now shows suggested busy time slots to choose from instead of all available slots. As a reminder, it’s no longer necessary to schedule ahead in order to guarantee a spot for a certain timeslot — all Dashers with the new Overall Dasher Rating can now go online anytime.

Store Pause

Select Gold and Platinum Dashers may be eligible for a new limited-time reward — Store Pause — which allows you to stop receiving offers from certain nearby stores for two weeks. Check the Ratings tab in your Dasher app to see if this reward appears for you.

This reward gives you more control and flexibility over the kinds of offers you receive — so you can earn the way you want.

Eligibility & Details

  • Available only to Dashers who received an invite for this pilot program.

  • Must be Gold or Platinum status in the Dasher Rewards Program at the time of offer decline to activate the reward.

  • Reward and eligibility may vary by market.

DoorDash may modify or end this program at any time.

How it works

  • Gold Dashers can pause offers from 1 store for 2 weeks.

  • Platinum Dashers can pause offers from up to 3 stores for 2 weeks each.

The pause applies to offers from selected stores only and may take up to 5 minutes to take effect.

After the two-week period ends, offers from that store will resume automatically, and you’ll receive a notification in the app.

Q: How do I pause offers from a store?

A: When you receive an order from a store you’d like to pause, start by declining the offer. After declining, and if the option is available for that store, you’ll see a toggle to pause offers from that location. Turn the toggle on and press decline again to activate the pause.

Once activated, you won’t receive offers from that store for two weeks. Under your Dasher Rewards, you’ll see a list of paused stores, including their names and addresses, and when each pause period will end.

Q: Can I pause any store?

A: No. The option to pause may not appear for every store or every time you receive an offer. Only eligible stores in your area will show the pause toggle after declining an order.

Q: Can I turn off a pause early?

A: Yes. You can pause offers from your Ratings tab at any time. However, once you do, you won’t be able to pause offers from another store until the original two-week period has fully passed.

Q: Why don’t I see the option to pause after declining an order?

A: The pause reward is a pilot feature and may only be available in select markets or for certain stores. If you don’t see the toggle, the option may not be available at that time or for that store.

Platinum Pass

Select Dashers may be eligible for a new perk — Platinum Pass — which allows you to earn and redeem a week of Platinum status. Check the Ratings tab to see if this reward appears for you. You can refer to the Platinum Pass section of the Ratings tab to track progress, unlock, and redeem your passes.

How it works

For every 200 consecutive deliveries completed while maintaining Platinum status, you’ll earn one Platinum Pass that you can redeem for a week of Platinum. When redeemed, that Platinum Pass automatically grants Platinum-level benefits like top priority to high-paying offers, VIP support, and discounts in your area for 7 days, even if your current ratings drop below Platinum thresholds.

*Platinum Pass is non-transferable, has no cash value, and may be modified or revoked in DoorDash’s sole discretion.

Q: How do I unlock Platinum Pass?

A: You need to complete at least one delivery to be eligible. Complete 200 consecutive deliveries while holding Platinum status to unlock Platinum Pass. Only deliveries completed while you are Platinum status count toward your progress. If you drop below the Platinum status before reaching 200, your progress resets.

Q: I was close to earning a Platinum week under the previous reward system. Do those weeks or deliveries carry over?

A: We know this is a change from the previous Platinum Pass reward. With the new 200-delivery Platinum Pass reward, progress from the previous 28-day system doesn’t carry over. All Dashers begin at 0 deliveries when the new reward is released in your area, and only deliveries completed while in Platinum count.

Q: How do I redeem it?

A: Go to the Ratings tab and select “Platinum Pass”. The Platinum Pass reward can only be redeemed when your current ratings qualify you for Silver or Gold.

Tap Redeem to activate a reward week of Platinum. You can only redeem one week at a time. Once redeemed, you can track your progress and find the expiration time for your Platinum Pass(es) under the “Your unlocked rewards” section in the app.

Q: What happens after my Platinum Pass expires?

A: Your current Overall Dasher Rating will set your Rewards status. So if you still meet Platinum qualifications, you’ll stay at Platinum.

Q: Does progress carry over if I dash in multiple areas?

A: Yes — as long as you maintain Platinum while completing deliveries. Some Platinum perks may vary by location due to local regulations.
