What does it mean for a store to deliver its own orders?
There are certain stores on the DoorDash app that use their own couriers to deliver orders. This means that your order is not tracked in real-time within the DoorDash system the same as other deliveries you may be used to. Status updates may also be less frequent for these specific orders.
Why is there no map?
With Demand Gen orders, you cannot track the store’s courier. You can see what stage of the order is by opening up the details in the “Orders” tab.
How do I know when my order will arrive?
We provide an estimated time range for your order to arrive based on the store and your location. Please be patient as this is just an estimation, and may change depending on potential issues preparing or delivering your order. To get the most up to date status of your order, we encourage you to contact the store. You can call them directly from the app via your order page, under “Help.”
How do they know where to go?
Your name, address, phone number and delivery instructions are sent to the store & its courier so your order can be delivered, and so that they can reach out to you with any updates or questions.
What if I have an issue with my order?
Due to the limited information provided from the store, we encourage you to contact the store to get the most up to date status of your order. You can call them directly from the app via your order page, under “Help.” If the store cannot provide assistance, please reach out to DoorDash and we will try our best to help you.
