What can I do on my profile?

From your profile, view all your store ratings, item ratings, approved public reviews and photos in a single place. Coming soon - more awesome features like the ability to curate your profile, see the impact your contributions are making for others, and more!

Why am I not seeing my review or photo on my profile?

Once approved, publicly submitted reviews and photos will show on your profile. If you do not see your review or photo, your content may still be pending moderation. If you selected “Store feedback” rather than “Everyone” (i.e., public review) as the audience when submitting a review, your review will be sent directly to the merchant and DoorDash and it will not appear on your profile. For more information, please visit our content guidelines for reviews and photos.

What will others see on my profile?

If your profile is public, anyone will be able to see your contributions, including approved public reviews, approved photos, store ratings, and item ratings alongside with some information about you (your first name, last initial, profile picture, and local expert status). In the future, we may allow other users to connect with you on the DoorDash platform, and having a public profile will mean these users can also see your public activity–such as your approved photos and public reviews.

A restricted profile will only display your first name, last initial, profile picture, and number of public contributions (but not the contents of any contribution). Even if you have a restricted profile, your public contributions will still display on the merchant’s store page.

Your profile (whether public or restricted) will not include any Dasher ratings.

See “How do I change my profile’s privacy settings” for more information.

How do I change my profile’s privacy settings?

From your profile, click “Edit profile”. You can toggle between a public profile and a restricted profile at any time. You can also change your name from this page.

A Public profile will allow anyone to see your profile and any photos, ratings, and public reviews submitted on your profile.

A Restricted profile will only display your first name, last initial, profile picture, and number of public contributions (but not the contents of any contribution). Publicly submitted individual reviews and photos will still be visible on store pages.

DoorDash Experts Program

What is a Local Expert? What about an Emerging Expert?

DoorDash’s Experts Program is available to select users in select U.S. markets. Local Experts are fellow DoorDash users who have ordered from and left high quality public reviews and/or photos for 10 or more restaurants. These users leave helpful reviews across many restaurants in their neighborhood after they order.

Emerging Experts are users that have left high quality reviews and/or photos on at least 3 restaurants. These users are well on their way to becoming Local Experts! Once they submit 10 high quality reviews, they will be upgraded to Local Expert status, which will be reflected in their profile.

Some users may not be eligible for our Experts Program based on additional criteria, for example:

  • Inactive Users: Users who have not placed any DoorDash orders in the last 12 months – this ensures that our Local Expert cohort is up to date with the available restaurants in their neighborhoods

  • Violators of our Terms and Conditions: Users who have at any time violated DoorDash’s Community Guidelines for written reviews or photos or violated DoorDash’s Consumer Terms and Conditions – this ensures the safety of our community

  • Biased reviewers: Users who do not maintain balanced review content sentiment as determined by DoorDash – this ensures that our Local Expert cohort hosts a diversity of opinions and is invested in maintaining honest feedback

DoorDash reserves the right to change our Local Expert and Emerging Expert eligibility criteria at any time and without notice to you. Selection for Local Expert and Emerging Expert status and ability to participate in our Experts Program is entirely at DoorDash’s discretion.

How do I know who is a Local expert?

You’ll be able to tell who a Local expert is based on their profile badge showing on the reviews they’ve left.

If someone is a Local expert, you’ll see their expert badge, title, and their total number of contributions.

If someone is an Emerging expert, you’ll see their title and total number of contributions.

If someone is Neither, you will just see their number of contributions.

What makes a Local Expert an “expert?”

Local experts are determined by how many high quality posts a user submits. Once a review (including both written text and photos) is submitted, they are evaluated for adherence to our Community Guidelines and for overall usefulness and quality by the DoorDash team.

Written reviews are considered to be high quality when the content is both relevant and useful to other users and have specific details about the food or the restaurant. For example, reviews that mention specific dishes, portion sizes, and the value are helpful for other users and are considered high quality.

Photos are considered to be high quality when they accurately reflect the food and clearly show the dish in the photo. For example, photos that are well-lit with the dish fully visible (all packaging removed) are considered high quality.

How do I become a Local Expert?

DoorDash’s Local experts program is not available for all users in all regions.

If you are not a Local expert today and are eligible to become one, you can do so by simply submitting high quality review content for 10 unique restaurants. To ensure the Local Experts cohort is grounded in helpful, robust, and comprehensive review content, only high quality posts are counted towards Local expert status. These reviews can be for past DoorDash orders or experiences with this store outside of DoorDash. For more information on how to submit reviews, see our How to submit reviews page.
