Overview
Costco allows members to shop through the DoorDash app at Costco warehouses and have their orders delivered by a Dasher.
Customers may be able to browse Costco products before linking a membership, but a valid Costco membership is required to complete checkout.

Q: Why can’t I check out without a Costco membership?
A: Only customers with a valid Costco membership can complete the checkout. Non-members may browse the Costco store and member pricing, but they must link their Costco membership before placing an order.
Q: What should I do if my Costco membership will not link?
A: Try linking the membership again through the DoorDash checkout or membership-linking screen.
If validation continues to fail, checkout will remain blocked. Confirm that the Costco membership is active and the details are entered correctly.
Additionally, only two DoorDash accounts can be linked to the same Costco membership ID; previously linked accounts have to be unlinked first before a new account can be linked. Please reach out to DoorDash Support for membership unlinking requests.
Q: What should I do if my Costco membership has expired?
A: Renew the membership through Costco or Costco.com. DoorDash Support cannot renew an expired Costco membership. Checkout may remain blocked until the membership becomes active.
Q: Can DoorDash Support cancel my Costco membership?
A: No. Costco membership cancellation requests should be handled through Costco or Costco.com.
Q: How do I return an item from a Costco DoorDash order?
A: Customers have to go to the warehouse with the DoorDash email receipt and their member ID to get a refund directly from Costco.
The in-store associate will look at the item subtotal and tax paid for the item on the DoorDash receipt and issue the refund to either the Customer's personal credit card, store credit, or cash.

Q: Can I use a Costco gift card for my DoorDash Costco order?
A: No, Costco gift cards cannot be used for Costco orders placed through the DoorDash app.
Q: What happens if I report my order issue directly to Costco?
A: Costco may warm-transfer you to DoorDash Support or submit an escalation through the agreed support channel. Costco is not expected to resolve DoorDash order issues directly.
