Creating Reports in the DoorDash Merchant Portal
What is the report builder?
Report builder lets you build and schedule custom reports, allowing you to obtain valuable financial, sales, and operational data and insights about your business.
What are the benefits of using the report builder?
The report builder experience helps you find and create reports across multiple channels, including Marketplace, Online Ordering and Drive On-Demand. With the report builder, you can:
Choose the metrics and reporting schedule based on your needs, including the ability to schedule automatic reports.
Gain insights into new and returning customer behavior and up to two years of operations, sales, and financial data.
Create reports quickly and efficiently, helping you pull insights from your data to improve your business strategy.
How do I find the report builder?

In the Merchant Portal, select Reports on the left-hand menu bar
Press the red Create report button on the top right
Here, you can see the types of reports and what channels are available for each (Marketplace, Online Ordering, Drive On-Demand, etc)
Choose the type of report: Financial, Sales, Marketing, Operations, or Customer then select Next
How do I create a report?
Financial Report

In this report, you can see: transactions, error charges/adjustments, and payouts.
Choose if you want this to be a one-time report, or a recurring report
Select a start and end date within the last two years
Select all of the information you would like included: Transaction details, Order item details, or Merchant operations and consumer feedback
Click Create report
You will receive an email when your report is ready for download. Once created, reports can be accessed from the Reports section for 7 days.
Operations Report


In this report, you can see: order accuracy, cancellation rate, wait time, product mix and more.
Select which channel you want a report on: Marketplace or Drive On-Demand
Choose if you want this to be a one-time report, or a recurring report
Select a start and end date within the last two years
Choose how you want the data formatted: by order, time, or store
Click Create report
You will receive an email when your report is ready for download. Once created, reports can be accessed from the Reports section for 7 days.
Sales Report

In this report, you can see: sales, average ticket size, total orders, and comparisons across channels
Select all channels you want a report on: Marketplace , Online Ordering or Drive On-Demand
Choose if you want this to be a one-time report, or a recurring report
Select a start and end date within the last two years
Choose how you want the data formatted: by order or time
Click Create report
You will receive an email when your report is ready for download. Once created, reports can be accessed from the Reports section for 7 days.
Marketing Report


In this report, you can see: return on ad spend (ROAS), customers reached, order value, advertising fees, and more for Promotion and Sponsored Listing campaigns.
Select which channel you want a report on: Marketplace or Drive On-Demand
Choose if you want this to be a one-time report, or a recurring report
Select a start and end date within the last two years
Select which category you want to include: Promotions or Sponsored Listings
Click Create report
You will receive an email when your report is ready for download. Once created, reports can be accessed from the Reports section for 7 days.
Customer Report

In this report, you can see: Customer name, contact information, and ordering trends for Online Ordering
Choose if you want this to be a one-time report, or a recurring report
Select a start and end date within the last two years
Select how you would like the data formatted: by order or customer
Click Create report
You will receive an email when your report is ready for download. Once created, reports can be accessed from the Reports section for 7 days.
How do I access available reports?

Log into the Merchant Portal
Click on Reports
Here you can download reports created in the last 7 days.
How do I view scheduled reports?
Log into the Merchant Portal
Click on Reports
Click on the Scheduled tab
Here you can view all recurring reports you have set up
If you would like to stop a recurring report, click on the trash can icon in the row of the report you wish to stop

How do I use the Insights Hub?
Log into the Merchant Portal
Navigate to Insights
Within the Insights hub, you have access to 5 tabs:
Optimization score

An estimate of your store’s sales potential on DoorDash.
Sales

Sales data by location, date, and time. You can see personalized charts on:
Gross sales
Total Orders
Average ticket size
Sales trends
Sales by channel and more.
Product Mix

Displays details about your most popular items with date and location filters.
Operations quality

Displays details on key operational metrics that customers care the most about with guidance on how to improve to positively increase your stores rating.
