Prescription Delivery - Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions govern the DoorDash Prescription Delivery service (the “Service”) and are subject to the DoorDash Consumer Terms and Conditions.

1. Prescription Delivery Service. DoorDash facilitates access to an on demand prescription delivery service, that enables you to request and authorize a Dasher to (1) pay for and pick up specified existing and available prescriptions prescribed to you and/or your dependent(s) that have been filled by a pharmacy; and (2) deliver them to you at the address provided. In order to use the Service, you will receive a link to DoorDash via SMS from your pharmacy if your prescriptions are eligible for the Service. By clicking the link, your pharmacy will send certain limited, non-sensitive and non-identifying information (the “Order Information”) about your prescriptions to us and you will be asked to confirm this Order Information to proceed with placing a prescription order. By placing an order for your prescription medication pick up on DoorDash, you authorize:

a. A Dasher to pick up and pay for the medication(s) on your and/or your dependent’s behalf using the Order Information;

b. DoorDash to share the Order Information with the Dasher; and

c. DoorDash and the Dasher to present the Order Information to the pharmacist and/or pharmacy staff in order to authorize the pick up of the prescription medication on your or your dependent’s behalf.

DoorDash will never request or collect any specific information about the prescriptions you are requesting to have picked up and delivered beyond the cost and the first three letters of the medication name.

2. Payment. As outlined above in Section 1, your pharmacy will provide us with, and you will be asked to confirm, the expected cost of your prescriptions. You authorize DoorDash to charge the expected cost you confirmed. In the event the actual cost at the pharmacy for your prescription is slightly higher than what you confirmed, you authorize DoorDash to charge the actual prescription cost. If the actual cost of the prescriptions in-store at the pharmacy is significantly higher than the pre-authorized amount, the prescription portion of your order will be canceled but any non-prescription items in your order will still be fulfilled. If the amount authorized is more than the cost of the prescriptions at the pharmacy, DoorDash will complete your order and you will be charged the true cost of the prescriptions and refunded any excess amount authorized.

3. Replacement Prescriptions. In the unlikely event that your prescription delivery order is lost, stolen, or damaged, you authorize DoorDash to contact the pharmacy and share the minimum necessary details of your order in order to help identify the order and facilitate a replacement. You also authorize DoorDash to pay the pharmacy for any replacement costs of the prescriptions, at DoorDash’s discretion.

4. User Account. You must have a valid DoorDash account to access the Service. You may use the Service on behalf of yourself and any of your dependents, although you agree that you shall monitor your account to prevent use of the Service by minors and will accept full responsibility for any unauthorized use of your password or your account.

5. Availability. The Service is only available at select pharmacies and pharmacy locations. The Service is not available for certain prescriptions including, but not limited to, Controlled Substances, narcotics, products containing cannabis, and prescriptions that require an unbroken cold chain. The availability of the Service is subject to change or terminate at any time without notice. We may remove your ability to use the Service if we suspect fraud or abuse of the Service.
